So, is mining worth it again? Or should I concentrate on mission running to get the mats I need to start actually being able to go out to 00 again?

if you have the skills to fit one of the Salvage Battleships you should probably do that if your open to level 4s
Empire mining is Veldspar first, everything else a distant second, Low sec mining is a total joke, then 00 mining. ***** **** Trust Aura. Aura is Your Friend.

0.0 mining is more profitable per hour, but odds are the best belts are "owned"
Salvage battleship?
I have a salvager, (destroyer outfitted for salvaging) and a domi with what was a good tank, but kind of curious as to how it'll stand up now.
Interesting to hear that veld is so valuable now. How's trit comparing to iso these days?

I think he means the Marauders. They give you half the weapons with double the damage so it stays the same, and to top it off they have some utility highslots with bonuses to tractor range/speed.

In terms of isk/m3 Veldspar is the single most valueable ore outside of 0.0 in most areas (see this thread for a more in-depth discussion). Omber is nearly worthless - second only to Jaspet for the least valueable ore in the game at the moment.
The general consensus is that the drone region drops have pushed the prices of mid- and high-end minerals down, while the demand for Veldspar has increased by the removal the soft cap, increased demand for building cap ships, and the difficulty of moving millions of trit around.

Bingo.
Overall mining is kind of messed up.
Unfortunatly it will probably stay that way unless they intro new ships that take a somewhat Radicaly diferent mix of minerals to build. ***** **** Trust Aura. Aura is Your Friend.

Thanks again. Anyone know any mining corps that are looking for hulk pilots?

Soft cap was not realy removed, just transfered to a diferent item that is a bit more inconvient item to get
high ends are droping more from 0.0 producers deciding its better to mine 0.0 ore exclusivly and run it to empire to buy trit than to mine trit localy.
the fact though is that the oportunity costs (need to run a hauler who could be missioning-ratting-mining instead of going all over the place picking up system wide buy orders for trit), the need to "compress" trit into ammo and mods for shipment, and the need to recover trit by scraping the ammo-mods you compresed in the first place) is whats keeping the price of trit down, after all the mineing-sellers are literaly taking the "wellhead price" for their minerals. not the "receving terminal" price ***** **** Trust Aura.
