Ship Destoyed by Station Sentry Guns and Clone Activated?

TCL987 The United Syndicate The Cooperative	Posted - 2008.06.08 06:01:00 - [1] I was in Rens and after accidentally locking and shooting the station with one of my ships which I lost. I had gotten a Tristan to move some stuff from the station and I thought I would come out of warp closer to the station and dock before the guns got me again. Unfortunately the guns got me and my Tristan but instead of winding up in a pod again but to my surprise I found my self whisked away to Luminaire and I received a mail about my clone being activated and I immediately checked my losses tab of the combat log and I found to my surprise that there was no log of my podding. I had my corp CEO do the same and he also found no record. When my Tristan was destroyed I didn't even see my pod emerge or even the POD activation loading bar just a slight pause and I was in a station with no pod on screen. I've filed a Petition already but I want to know if anyone else has encountered this before and what happened.

Sounds very weird, unless someone decided to suicide pod u So i hear there's no line to break sigs so your reading this cause I put it in to look like part of my post!

Arous Drephius Caldari Provisions	Posted - 2008.06.08 09:14:00 - [11] This has happened to several people I know. If you dock at the same exact instant that your ship explodes, you will be podded by the station, and wake up in your clone. Petition it and you should be reimbursed.

They should really look into fixing that bug and there wasn't a killmail.
Vagablonde Ouruboros Trading	Posted - 2008.06.08 09:58:00 - [13] sometimes when i get podded up i appear in a station with my clone but i am not in a pod, i have never tried gettting into a ship while not getting into my pod first however, could this have happened to you? ________________ the way back home is always long, but if you're close to me i'm holding on.
TCL987 The United Syndicate The Cooperative	Posted - 2008.06.08 17:02:00 - [14] What I'm thinking happened based on your replies is that My ship was destroyed before I finished docking but I docked before my POD had activated and the server got confused and just activated my clone costing me a set of +3s I'm not in a position to lose right not especially to a bug.
Gabbot	Posted - 2008.06.08 17:11:00 - [15] If you dock at exactly the same time as the sentries pop ur ship and there is enough bleed-through damage to pod u, the sentries pod you. It is a known bug and you should be reimbursed, if a GM says you wont be reimbursed, escualte(sp?) it.

But yes you will get your ship and implants back in 3 days to a week. File under reimbursement, mine took about 5 days. My guess is you get killed right before the session changes and it changes before your pod "comes out". If you check the logs you will see that you were accepted and docking then you lose control and ship explodes.

Tuttomenui II kungfuhammers	Posted - 2008.06.08 19:16:00 - [20] My CEO Was docking after killing a rifter with his rifter, and the dude he killed came back in a blackbird and killed him. He lost his ship and pod and there was no wreck. THe dude that killed him told me that it was weird cause all that apeared after the pop was a cargo can with loot. The incedent was petitioned and My ceo was given his implants back. Not sure what the glitch was, But aperently there must have been one that was tracable by CCP. Tuttomenui II
