Edited by: Davlos on 08/06/2008 10:28:16 Just did as the topic said, and I've gotten stumped at this point because of this. :|
I miss the old login screen UI where you could select whichever server you wanted to connect to. ---

You'll have to start your instance with a parameter now:
How to connect to Singularity
We have made a few adjustments to the login screen and removed the server drop down box.
To be able to connect to singularity you have to create a shortcut from the eve.exe file and add this to the target input in the shortcut :
For Singularity: /server:87.237.38.50 For Multiplicity: /server:87.237.38.51
This would then look something like this(different between client locations) :
"C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\client\eve.exe" /server:87.237.38.50
Found that somewhere in the Must Read of the stickies.

But I have done what the above post said (I think) and I get
"C:\Program Files\CCP\Test Server\eve.exe"/server:87.237.38.50 target path not valied, make sure the path and file name are correct
What the hell am I doing wrong?

You have to pick the folder of your local copy, of course.
Assume you copied and patched your Eve-Folder to C:\Eve.Singularity\ then it would be "C:\Eve.Singularity\eve.exe" /server:87.237.38.50 And there has to be a space between eve.exe" and the parameter (eve.exe"_/server...)

Shortly before release we start building the test clients as proper TQ clients. To use those clients against SiSi you have to find eve.exe, create a shortcut to it, then open the shortcut's properties and add "/server:Singularity" to the end of the command line.

Your "s are wrong.

Or you are not using a folder with the name "Test Server" for your sisi build, make sure you fill in the right name there.

If you patch the game and then at the end hit launch eve from the patch options, you will go to TQ regardless of any shortcut you may have. If you close the patcher and restart Eve from your test server shortcut (which has the /server:87.237.38.50") then it works fine.

CCP Explorer..
Thank you!!
"/server:Singularity" at the end of the of the target line works fine.
And many thanks to all who replied, none of who took the p**s, which is refreshing on these forums!
