As the title states, when I click on my character's protrait to connect into the game, it loads up and fills the bar and just stays there. I tried to connected on my friends computer under my account and got the same issue on his computer. Help a brother out and tell me what to do.

don't suppose you are trying to log into "Jita", cause I'm having the same issue

Yea I'm in Jita next to the stargate from Perimeter (I think). I got booted off the server then when I tried to get back on, nothing.

Yup I am stuck as well.
Tried to login with my second char on same account and no luck as well.
After some wait it just throws you back to character select screen.
DAMN lag !!!

I have two toons stuck in Jita atm - black screen and that is all. Damn you CCP! oh wait... I forget... its the players fault don't ya know.

Well yea it is but i think CPP can and should be blamed as well.
All this is happening due to overload on the server.
Last time i remember there was all of 170 people on there.
That is not much for mmo
Just think about couple other of them like for example GW i have seen next to 1000 people in one city and still had no lag what so ever.

Well obiviously its CCP's problem seeing how the issue continued even on a different PC. Hope they get Jita working again. Isk doesn't create itself. |

Yah, this is getting silly.
Daft thing is, all I want to do is log in to my toon to send some ISK to another account. 30 second job, one would think...
I would appreciate a dev response on this - I know Jita has always been laggy to hell, but I can't remember another time where I've ever been completely unable to log in.

I will say, however, that after posting a petition on the matter CCP were swift to respond and move my character so I could log in. Took all of about 2 minutes.
Whilst that is far from a long term solution, please guys don't sit around thinking there is no hope! |

i have the exact problem screen stays black and says entering game as 'player name' and doesnt change... i tried my other character thats located in a diff area and it works so maybe it is just because of the lag in Jita either way its annoying lol... |

Same problem here. Passed through Jita earlier in the day and it took a very long time to do anything. Went back through with the intent of going back where I came from and now I can't log in on that character. I created a new one just to see if it was the account at fault, but that char has no problem at all.
Speaking as a new player (about 4 days) I'm curious as to what the problem could be and why it seems to be considered to be the player's fault. I'm certainly not aware of seeing anything during the character creation or login procedure that warned me about any potential problems in that system. A brief look in the forums here shows that it's been a problem for at least a year, too. Is this restricted to Jita, or are other systems affected?

I'm glad I'm not the only one having this same problem. Only problem with me is that everything I own is in Jita.

I have the same problem here, after waiting about an hours or so on the "connect into the game", I finally reach the 'Entering Station" in jita, and now been waiting for like 20 minutes. 80 minutes and not even logged is a bit long..

Yeah it socks like you said, I made a petition asking them to move my thing to another system and they moved me to perimeter. By I need to get my implants and skillz book in jita, so I trying to jump there and once again im stuck..great |
