been a long while since I've dabbled in 3d and animation but I'd venture to guess Maya cause of the slight lens blur it does but I could be wrong... possibly 3d studio and an @$$load of addons
if EVE looked like that 24/7 even my nvidia 8800 would catch fire I'm sure

That trailer was AWESOME!
I loved how it showed some of the events of the downtime. Such as the Elder Fleet destroying CONCORD HQ.

CCP, there are issues if people with normal hearing are in disputes with what is said and someone had to use voice software to decipher the monologue. Maybe a version 1.1 is in order? With the audio remixed or optional subtitles? Thanks.

I really had no problem hearing the voice... just up the volume enough and it's fine for me, I'm wearing headphones though. Only thing I wasn't sure about was 'cry out at once' because it's grammatically odd given the rest of that line, but seems I heard it right.
The music seems pleasantly reminiscent of Homeworld's soundtrack (except for that annoying background hum during the final battle scenes), rather than the usual metal blaring which so subtracts from the majesty of EVE's space battlefields. Helluva job :)

there are only 2 possible explenations of that weapon... either it's some jove tech that they somehow have aquired or some remaindng tech from the time prior to the gate of new eden closed... either one of them makes more since than having Amarr just "inventing a BS size weapon that can single handedly destroy an entire fleet"
But i must say that the grafics are EPIC!!
also one can clearly say that amarr is back with avengence

The trailer was pretty distasteful. Why go through all the trouble of upgrading graphics if you're going to end up marketing a faked up version of EVE that barely resembles the game in appearance, let alone gameplay or storyline?
Even without the camera scripting tools or cg renders, players have done so much better at describing the game and telling its stories. Not to put down the incredible amount of work put into this or its mass appeal, but its incredibly dishonest and actually makes the game less appealing - even though I already think EA is good.

Firstly, I think everyone involved in this trailer can give themselves a well deserved pat on the back because it was pure awesome sauce. Thank you for your effort and vision in producing this trailer.
Secondly, I really think a lot of people are mis-interpreting something here. From my understanding, the trailer is for the EVE-Online: The Empyrean Age expansion. In the past expansions have mainly consisted of new stuff in game and this allowed trailers to double up as a general advertisement and also an expansion trailer. However The Empyrean Age is different; it also consists of a book, something new to the whole idea of an expansion as far as I'm aware.
Look.. my point is that the trailer was for an ingame expansion and a book (which together make up the whole Empyrean Age thing). Therefore, the majority of the trailer followed the usual format of relatively close to in game footage. The last 20 seconds were a cinematic representation of part of the book, which is fiction based on EVE-Online.
Accept it for what it is and not what it isn't please.

All you folks moaning about the "graphics in the trailer not being in line with the game" should really consider installing the graphics engine and turn it all the way up. The ships DO look like that with an GF 8xxx or ATI equiv graphics card. The reason why you folks dont see it even after doing that graphical update is most likely due to the non GF 8xxx property of your card.

I dont think the pwnball killed the titan in the trailer, it looks like there were quick cuts in the battle scene.
First is the bluw pall of pwnage, then it cuts to the one ship going boom, then it cuts to the Rag taking fire, and then going boom.
