This was, without a doubt, the best downtime ever! Bar none! In large part to the really fantastic downtime news.

Caldari retake Caldari Prime!
Ammar/Ammatar invastion by the Minmatar
I mean did it get any better than that? Not only was I waiting for the downtime to finish, I was waiting, with baited breath for the next news story.
CCP - tell your team JOB WELL DONE, and for heavens sake, give the news guys a pat on the back for making it memorable.

Nothing to add here. Just great and entertaining. Made me want to quit my mains alliance and corp to hunt down those Minmatar dogs. And I'm not a roleplayer.
Keep the news items up and coming, CCP it ads so much to the universe.

Interesting thought: Concord said to cease all non sanctioned warfare, however the Gallente Quorum declared war against the Caldari state - surely this counts as a sanctioned move? |

Caldari never claimed system sov. Only the planet's. Lrn2read imo. |

The news rocked. I am here at work reading every chance I got. Awesome Job...
I am only slightly disappointed in one thing, the news stories said there was footage of the different fights but didn't have links to them. Is there any chance they might appear online later?

Way to Go CCP. THAT was the way to handle a Downtime.. AO did something similar with the Attack on Omni Entertaiment a long tuime ago, but this was the way to go, The model to follow, much better than random fanfest pix.

This morning I settled into my chair at work and popped up the EVE website, just idly wondering if there were any updates. As I read the downtime news, I actually uttered "holy fsck!" aloud before I remembered where I was. My hat is off to the CCP storytellers -- the entrance of the Empyrean Age was suitably impressive.

Absolutely loved the storytelling during downtime. Very nice touch.
However, am I the only one sad all the cool things happened during the news and no pod pilot got to see/experience them. CONCORD stations getting pwnt, Empire capital fleets, and surface invasions with dropships 
I want to invade planets for the next expansion !

I really enjoyed watching the news coming in, I was refreshing that site a lot. It stated that Scope News had video material of what was going on, I was hoping that that would've been released as well (just like the 2 teaser trailers) to make it even better |
