Alot of people (yourself included apparently) seem to missunderstand the difficulty of L5s. The DPS actually isn't that much more than a full aggro Worlds Collide (infact i'd argue that it's probably less), the only thing that makes L5s different to a lvl4 is the fact that the tank has 0 cap throughout.
So get yourself a nice T2 ship fitted with passive hardners and 2 domi's and you're golden. I was doing lvl5s last night with a corp mate, we had 1 Damnation as the tank and 2 Domi's as the damage/rep. We could perma-run a total of 3 remote armor reps but never needed more than 2, and rarely needed more than one. This was against Drones btw, so the Damnation had to omni-tank, if you pick missions where you only need to tank 2 damage types then it's zomgeasy.
So it's possible to run a lvl5 with just two ships, thus soloable by 1 player. Those 60k (with the right skills) LPs per mission (which takes maybe 40mins for the good ones) now look a whole lot more attractive right?
