first time on i have seen it, i thought it looked pretty sweet, or maybe it was carpet bombing because of FW?
although it might just be a glitch with my graphics card. |

Yeah there's been lightning on some planets for quite some time now. It's more apparent on some than others. Very cool effect, even if it's not quite scaled properly (lightning the width of like, all of europe).

gotta keep in mind though, if the lightning was scaled properly, all we'd see is a (less-than-one-pixel) flash of white light and the planet would look like a bland gray ball. |

Well their radius seems to match with the time it takes to get to their center, so I think they're scaled properly.
