I've noticed on both my clients and all of my accounts that every time I undock, no matter what Overview setup I had selected prior to docking, it loads a default one (with all the space stations listed, no gates, etc.). I'm running Premium throughout.
Any ideas?
Also I'm seeing no difference to my burners with Afterburners on or off, and I thought this patch was supposed to do something about that? |

Do not use premium. Premium is so bugged I can't think of one good thing about it. |

I'm having probs with the overview that I didn't have pre-patch : e.g. refusal to add gates, although it thinks it has done so because the only option next is to "remove" them from overview. Trying to work thru tabs is weird - at one point I had all the rats disappear from 1 tab list, and when I went to another tab I lost the rats off my screen altho they were listed in that overview. Unsettling.
Need to fiddle with it a bit more, but it looks like something's broken somewhere. If I can get a logical behaviour out of it, will bug report, but for now it's just random weird stuff. |

Same Problem, Classic Client, on Mac. It's annoying, to say the least. |

Mine has been resetting to default on undock or jumping through a gate for at least the last month. Haven't checked since AE though, will look tonight.

I had the annoying problem with the windows resetting to default everytime I undocked since the 1.1 boost patch. It has been corrected with this patch for me. The afterburner works correctly also. I'm running premium client. I run on vista 64 bit.

I'm getting no info in the "Corp" column of my overview since the EA patch was added.

Same here. Tried min/maxing the overview to refresh, and also tried unchecking/rechecking the corp and ally columns in overview settings... No joy.
Edit: Looked again and there are now "corporation" and "alliance" columns in the overview settings. Unchecked the "corp" and "ally" columns and switched to the new ones and it seems to work fine. |

The whole 'have to reset my overview' has been a problem for the last good-many months (in fact, even before a previous patch). I have a few saved overview configurations, and had to change back to one every time I undocked before the patch. Now, after the patch, the overview still changes, but it does seem a bit more drastic.
This is one of the many things that has been screwed up for way too long, and is just another sign that customer service has tanked. I've never had such poor responses to my petitions, and CCP is letting too much go by without fixing it. They spent all this time on factional warfare, but still can't get the basics of the game right. |

Try renaming you cache AND settings folders, that's been working for most people who encounter this problem. Worst case if it doesn't work you can always revert it.
Cache locations:
2000/XP C:\documents and settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\client_folder_location Vista C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\client_folder_location |

Ok I renamed these folders and started Eve, undocked and still get the overview "not saved" I select one of my settings such as one set up for mining or PVP via the triangle beside the word overview, and dock. I undock and I am back to overview "not saved".
Thoughts??? Other places where these folders might still be that Eve is using instead of the location listed for Win XP above ( quoted part)???
Ideas? Guesses? Visions? Dreamscapes? Anything?
Just figures that I had backups of my C:/program files/eve folder but not the one in documents and settings...
I want my settings back the way they were!

I had this exact same problem along with several others since the patch. A simple re-install of the latest client solved it all for me.

*shrug* i just did another workaround: enabled the tabs in overview. those never have a worry about being 'defaulted'...i just gave up on the default since EA and CCP's brilliant f*ing idea.

I've been using several tabs for a while now as well, but they are buggy as hell all the same. Every now and then some random object that was 100% turned off turns itself back on in all my tabs. It's like it can't properly remember the settings in the saved overview files, so I have to go and reload all of them, removing the errant object, and then resave the overview settings.
With 4 tabs it's quite an annoying and time-consuming process to have to go through about once every 24 hours. I wish they'd fix the basics first for once.
