CCP state that the Naval NPC's have been beefed up. Has anybody fought any yet?- how hard are they to kill. I know it's all down to skills & weapons-will a noob have a chance of killing one? |

I saw a Drake getting popped by a Gallante Navy BS + maybe some other ships today.
Don't have anymore information other than the BS was still at about 30% shields? |

Naval NPC's are spawned to deal with enemies in their sovereign territory. These ships have significantly higher attack capabilites than before so it is highly unlikely that you will defeat them in a single frigate/cruiser/battlecruiser.

Depends on the NPC. Definitely noticeably beefed, however. Nasty tanks on them now. |

They also use things like neuts, targets painters, webbers, etc. No warp jamming though. |

I have a rationale (if that's the right word for it) for asking this question. CCP introduce faction warfare as a means for everybody to experience war, in Empire, not just traditionaly in low sector space. Is a noob going to face the enlightening experience of defeat when he hops into his new Destroyer- full of dreams of wonderous fighting & then gets popped in one volley. I know the same happens in low sec but I wondered if CCP were planning to give the noob a more gentle intro to fighting. We would not want to scare all the new recruits away if they have little chance of victory- would we? |

The Navy NPCs only appear in high sec. All (or at least most) FW objectives are in low sec. There's no reason to enter enemy high sec if you're in a militia; there's certainly no reason to enter it if you can't survive entering it... |
