Where in the patch notes does it say that skill book prices have changed?
It seems that every NPC sold skillbook is now dynamically priced similarly to commodities.
Intentional? |

there has always been a slight variation in prices, normally in the 1-2% range, due to standings i assume, is it that? |

If there was a variation, it was always constant over the same region for me. Generally, the prices listed in the market were 90% of that listed in the database. Now the prices are 98-99% of the database price, with fluctuation for each station offering them. Even stations of the same corp do not have the same price. |

Prices on skillbooks vary over time just like commodities. Once there is a new patch, those prices reset and they should settle back to their old values after a while. It's rather similar to how mission rewards get borked for a dya or two after patches until thet get 'auto-adjusted' back to 'normal'. |

Ah, that makes sense then.
I guess I've never bought a new skillbook after a patch. |

Yup, I actually made it a point to buy a few that I'll be needing over the next week or so before the patch. |

Skillbook prices sold from NPC's were always stable, costing the same from all NPC sellers that I saw, and ending in zeroes for me from I started playing around christmas till just before EW went live just now.
Oh, or is the dynamic pricing based on sales? Since people usually just buy 1 book of each they need it makes sense that prices soon plummet down to the low limit. |

You missed that last market reset by about a month.
Give it a month and the prices will be back to what they were before the patch.
As others have already said, this is normal for a major patch. |
