This is still needed even though they have posted the 1426-1515 patch
You need to copy your TQ directory or have an EVE chaos directory at 1426
open your Boot.ini file change build from 1424 to 1.24.1424 OR from 1426 to 1.24.1426 depending on your version Patch Page patch and enjoy
Hopefully the devs fixt the patch, then this wont be needed, but till then

the path check at the start of the 1424-1515 chaos patch flashed up an incorrect warning saying i was patching over my main client (presumly a check on the path being c:/Program Files/CCP/Eve), but I was applying the patch to c:/Program Files/Chaos/Eve.
Otherwise the patch worked fine without the need to amend the boot.ini!

Edited by: Hawk Firestorm on 17/05/2004 18:36:44 One thing I would say although perhaos off topic is that I think Chaos needs to go multi node as with Entropy.
So there's 2 tier testing, at the moment Chaos is very slow and often to the point that testing much of anything on there isn't that constructive and I'm only up the road from the servers. heh
It's difficult to know if there's any problem with the sync code etc as has appeared on tranquilty or if it's just because the server can't take anymore.
Personally I think you need a multi node developement area where people can test for you on the fly before you bump patches upto Entropy for QA testing before it in turn gets inflicted on the general public. ;)
Entropy is a good sandbox too, and that's not a bad thing as it also encourages people to get on and test and hopefully cut down on the number of bugs getting live into the game.
