So, I get a corp mail that says XERCORE has joined the Caldari State faction at war. Fighting may begin.
I look at my corp info find "Member of the Caldari State".
Right next to our corp logo is the Caldari State Logo, so shiny.
I get rush that wakes me to alert status WOW.
I'm also floored to see old friends in Militia Channel that I never expected to have in the same gang ever.
If Factional Warfare allows me to play with friends that would normaly be spread across the universe ... I'm all for it.
I rush to the Warzone to gang up.
I arrive at Black Rise and the situation was FUBAR.
Militia Channel = 450 gang request firing off every other second and no repsonses. WTF o.O
Then something awesome happened. The more experienced Pilots stepped up and with some patience and nudges ... a fleet is pieced together and into the Black Rise we fly, organized and armed.
It went like this: 2 Hours = ALIGN > WARP > Pew PEW, ARGGG shuttle .. CHECK coms CHECK ... nano gang, shooty ... they got reinforcements Withdraw! and we arrive where we started but not all intact ... if felt like a going to Fountain and back (not quite but made me think of it) this happened in empire of all place O.O
Members of the fleet approached me and said this was the best fun they ever had in EVE ever ... and defintely want to do it again! \o/
So there it is, the reward for playing Factional Warfare is Fun

i vouch that, never seen caldari group up with so many players lol. We had two gallente gangs consisting of about 60 and that was about and came face to face with a 198 man gang or gangs from caldair, quite something to see. |

Probably one of the most interesting fleet engagements; one of my first large engagements for PVP. I have to say that the amount of action was incredible (at least for my experiences). If this level of activity maintains itself, there is no stopping the amount of fun possible in these combat zones. =)

I had an awsome time today on the Amarr side of things, we are outnumbered sometimes outgunned, but we made a good account of ourselves, there are gates in the bleaks lands completely surround by wrecks, frozen corspes and abandoned drones.
faction warefare is the most fun I've had in eve in a long time. And its so easy to get into, it really bridges that PvP gap.

Not bad for me at all - and I play on wireless 90% of the time.
Even graphical lag was minimal as my PVP settings dont show brackets in space, which from quick and dirty tests today caused some juttering as I warped to contested places and camped gates etc.

Having only just joined and run one mish to test those waters and the mechanics while my indy alt sets up some war-stores in gallente turf, it gave me time to listen in to the militia channel. Looking forward to actually getting hooked into it :)
