Skill at illegally creating blueprints from items. Skill level x Item Reverse engineering chance = Chance of reverse engineering a Item into a blueprint.
can you make BP with it or is it just a skill needed to make stuff? |

Not in game. Was originally considered as a way to create T2 BPC's, but invention won out.

It'd be useful to create BPCs for named T1 items. But as there are 100s of those, doing so would cause the creation of 100's of new items in the item list (the BPCs). Dunno if that is a game design concern.

Aye, I think I heard mention of it maybe being used for tech 3 (i.e., the "heat resistant") blueprints. I have some reservations about tech 3, since I don't think "heat" is particularly popular. That's just my perception, though.

Edited by: Smartislarti on 15/06/2008 09:47:34 As long as you cannot overload Copy and ME slots and overloading mining lasers doesn't really make any sense, you might consider heat unpopular.
In pvp heat is really doing well and it's quite popular amongst those who love to pewpew. Yust have a look at the recent EVE pvp vids, many of them show overloading racks. "Since we have to speak well of the dead, let's knock them while they're alive." -- John Sloan |
