I'm working on another video again and I need a lot of people this time to help make it. Search youtube for my other Eve videos (search: Takean).
Anyway, here is the scoop. I'm making a recruitment video for the Caldari State. Something probably more useful for the Role-playing side of Eve....but either way, I have a great idea for it, but I will need some help. This may not be the place to post this..but I don't really know what category it falls into so I posted it here. I'm making this video because I think this new expansion is an awesome idea...and will open up a lot more fun for people...and I eventually want to make 4 videos total, 1 for each race.
Here is where the community comes in. I have several scripts that I need recorded. So if you think you have a great voice for acting, and feel you really can play a role...I need you to evemail me so I can get you a script. You can then read it over, record yourself a bit (with a computer), and then I will supply you a place to post it so that I can listen to it and see what I think. I will only choose the best person for the parts. There are many, so don't feel like you cannot participate. 2 main scripts must be done by males that have authority/leadership with their voice. I don't need a voice that sounds like the Lone Ranger (Hi Ho Silver...Away!)...lol. I do need some others, even females are welcome. Just evemail me if interested.
The roles needed are as follows:
-News Reporter Voice
-Presidential Voice
-Squadron Leader Voice
-Comms Channel Chatter (Mix of voices)
-Senators Voices
Now here is the real thing I need help with. I need a MASSIVE number of pilots that can fly caldari ships...and gallante ships. I need frig pilots, cruisers, bs's, HACS, HICS, Battlecruisers, anything! I would love to have capital ships to...but I believe it would be nothing but bloodbath in lowsec. I want to make it something that people can have fun doing, but also have some sort of order so it WILL BE FILMED IN HIGH SEC. But I will need to film some scenes of HUGE fleets flying for both sides. Corps are welcome to join in as well. The more the merrier. Pirates...anti-pirates...everybody...as long as you can help participate. Afterwards..goof off or shoot/can bait/etc. I just need to get some good shots of film for segments on the video. No shoot is required..but please put shiny guns on for the camera. If you are at war though..either drop from the corp temporarily or know that it is a risk you take.
To film such fleets i will have to set up a date and time maybe for about and hour or two for each fleet. BTW, when I say fleet, I would love to have 50 or more pilots per fleet. All that will be required of each fleet/class of ships will be discussed at filming. And once I have my list of volunteers, I will evemail you all with the date and time. If you have a communication price on ur character..please mark it to 0.00 isk or i will not use evemail you. It only has to stay 0.00 until after shooting..then you can once again jack it up to x.xx isk all you wish.
After filming and vocals are collected and the video is put together, I will make a list of credits for the film so that all pilots and corporations can be recognized. I will then post the link in the official Eve Forums and also a lower quality video on YouTube. I wish I could compensate each person for participating with isk, but I wouldn't be able to. I am working on doing maybe a lotto for all the people that participate at filming and vocals used. Still in the works though. If any corps/alliances want to help donate lotto stuff please contact me in-game or via eve-mail and let me know.
Like I said, this is just an idea i had after the expansion was released and i think it would be great to do. Just looking for people that want to have fun and participate some...something they can look back at and say...that was me in that video...lol. |

Btw...this will take some time to get everything together..so be patients. It's not going to happen next week...so if you are in a war or something..keep it up. I'll let everyone know when and where. Feel free to post in here too if you want to participate. Also, if I do not reply to you within the next few days..do not fret..I'm just out of town for the weekend..but i will be back starting Monday..but evemail and post away plz. |

I'd recommend simply going to the test server and getting it filmed on there - you can bet they'll be 50+ pilots in pod valley. Whilst there, its not that hard to undock, warp to a 'postcard' bookmark and eject from 50+ ships to get that 'fleet formation' shot.
As for the voice overs, sure, love to take a look at a script and audition, sounds like fun. I'll evemail you later when I get home.
If you are looking for some inspiration, I hear ZOND3 is releasing a new movie this weekend on the recent patch.

I do want to add that I wont have anyone eject...but good idea for the test server. The only reason why i didn't want to use it is some noobs may not know how to set it up..or it may discourage them from doing so due to it taking time. Even though its VERY simple...the less work the better...but to be safer, that may be a better option. However, i will need pilots to fly this ships in formation...moving etc. I could just dump the ships off and eject..but I need movement shots.
I'll also check out that video of ZOND3. Thx :)

Decided that the test server is the best choice...as it also opens the door to more video shots of the 2 fleets fighting a bit which will be a plus!

ok. i have the script ready and will send out the info to all those interested after work today. if you want a copy of the script...please email me in-game...or send a real email to: [email protected]. i need a few voice talents...and i will email you locations to upload ur voice recordings to. dont be shy...i need both men and women voices. i should be able to start shooting some next week. there is also a 100mill isk so far as a lotto for all those that help me out in this project. hopefully more will come in later this week!

I still need more people for the voice overs and the fleet shots. Fleet shooting should begin sometime hopefully next week sometime. I do have a script ready for anyone that wants to do the voices if you feel like you have a great voice.
I do want to clarify the lotto thing. The lotto is like a thankyou for the help thing(if you are chosen to help..whether in voice or fleet shooting). It is for only those helping with this project. If you tried the voice thing...but you weren't good..no worries..just participate in the fleet filming and you are still in. It is now up to 180 million isk now.
Now let me explain how this will work as a few have asked. Lets say 3 people only help me ;p (which would suck)...then there would only be 3 tickets to randomly draw...not like other lottos where there are 20 sold..but 1000+ tickets available and the lotto may not be won at all. Someone will get this money. I will choose a random person to draw the numbers...not any of my alts. I could care less bout the isk..I just need the footage and voices. At the moment, AllyKat has a SUPER great chance of winning it (guy that posted above). So please please email me if you are interested or even post here!
