I have a problem.
Some of my drones are vmuch slower than others despite them all being the same type of drone.
I can target a rat and do Select All > Attack via the drone window but some of them race ahead while others generally don't.

They stuck in pairs? Are some heavily damaged? Maybe they were webbed?
Can't think of any other reason why drones would go slower.

I've noticed this too, I believe it happens when 2 (or more?) drones get in each other's way when returning to the drone bay - the rest return to the pen at normal speed but the awkard ones just interfere with each other.
Don't know for sure if this is the definitive answer but it ties up with my observations of the little buggers (never seen a solo drone lagging behind).

Also drone gui doesnt work sometimes. Yesterday I launched 8 drones in combat, and I ordered them to attack. Then all of a sudden only 1 of them is showing in that new window where you can issue the commands, the rest have disappeared from the gui, even tho I could see them attacking and orbiting the guy. Later on when I had to disengage, I had to leave 7 drones behind me, which sucked. --

I can understand some getting there faster than others since they tend to oribit your ship when you release them...if one was going that way when ya told to attakc, he'd get there first, as to one that was flying away will need to turn around and make up more distance.
As for them sitting back and having a beer during work hours...remember to not buy union drones as the fine print mentions multiple breaks in a 1hr period of use.

I've experienced similar problems with both my Combat AND my Mining Drones.
In the case of the Miners, they go out and mine for a while when I select 'Mine Repeatedly' and then all of a sudden 1 or 2 of them will just start orbittnig the ship.
If I tell them to 'Mine Repeatedly' again, they're off doing their thing for a while, then... wash, rinse, repeat.
Any thoughts?

It can be because the npc locked some of the drones so these ones go faster.

Lazy drones - some do not return after combat until a return and orbit command is issued. Out of 3 drones, 1 may return, the other 2 sit there at 0ms. They're not entangled.
