I am an old player that has participated in a number of alliance wars. I never got into the whole fleet thing, prefering small scale pvp. My first experiences fighting BoB were when I first joined ASCN, then much later IAC, and most recently RAZOR. Often times I quit the corps I was in and just stay in noob corp, doing my thing in Fountain and Delve. So there's a long history of me fighting them.
Some people think I must be crazy, why do it? I like having tough opponents. BoB weren't my only target. In the past I focused my attention on Red Alliance, Triumvirate, Stain Empire, and some others. I decided that BoB makes the toughest opponents, not just because they have good fighters, but also because they have highly developed defensive infrastructure in Delve and they have lots of expensive toys.
What more can a guy want?
Well, 27 days ago I created my 2 man corp (me and my alt): the Anti-BoB corp, for waging war.
The corp records all my kills and losses like a personal killboard, without needing to post anything, which I find pretty neat.
I have focused my attention on Delve. There was a lot of tough fighting, lots of waiting games in traps. Between all the fighting, I struggle to earn enough isk to support the fighting. I am successful in that I never need to stop for more than a day for isk making.
My attention on BoB has not been left unnoticed, of course. I started hearing a lot of smack in local regarding my fighting ability and my persistence. There are often references about them killing my officer mod fitted faction battleships. That part is true, but those were PvP ships, that I have purchased only because of my great fortune finding officer spawns in Fountain and Delve. That isk came from their space in the first place. And destruction of those ships has not diminished my fighting ability. I do just as well in a t2 fitted Dominix.
So, I am posting this to set the record strait to all the BoBs who think they are totally owning me. I have looked thru my corp's "recorded loss" and "recorded kills", and this is what I have in the last 27 days:
My losses due to BoB and their allies (pets):
Battleships: 14 (mostly Dominix)
recons: 5
pods: 13
inty: 6
frig: 2
Now, my kills BoB members:
Battleships: 11
recons: 3
HACs: 8
pods: 5
dictor: 4
Battlecruiser: 2
Hulk: 1
At first glance I lost 3 more bs and 2 more recons, but if you consider 8 HAC losses, it makes me look a little better. And that is only part of it. Delve is hope to several BoB pet alliances/corps, which have chased after me with just as much determination as BoB members, and almost half of my losses are due to pets.
These are the ships lost by BoB's pets:
Battleship: 6
Command Ship: 3
inty: 6
recon 4
HAC: 6
pod: 3
dictor: 1
cruiser: 3
Hulk: 2
AF: 1
HIC: 1
stealth bomber: 1
(also, 4 chinese farmer Ravens suffered collateral damage)
So if you compare my losses with combined losses of BoB + pets, I'm actually doing pretty well.
What is my point?
I don't want to hear BoB smack about how they totally own me, I don't want them to ask why I keep coming back. Because things for me aren't as bad as they may think. I give them credit for being worthy enemies, I wouldn't keep coming back for more if they weren't.

I am surprised you did not get more kills and less deaths with the use of your Falcon alt and fitting cloaks on your Dominix. Oh well. |

Dude, seriously? I dunno, haven't checked ingame how long you've been playing but from your alliance history it has to have been for a while.
Just keep killing them. If this thread was really to stop them smacking you, as you say, I gotta tell ya bro, bad call.

I thought of doing the same but against goons. Then I realized I'd be sitting stealthed for 6 hours a day to gank one person. Anyways cheers for doing something different.

well, bro..
as i said in a mail to you, i have respect for you,
but i believe, seeing K/D ration that you should choose your fights more carefuly. since Rzr did join band-wagon
in the past and troubled itself to leave belts
of the north and come down south to visit us once
i decided, after leaving alliance to move north.
and since i looove whine/comments of Rzr carebear-noob pilots
on their own killoboard under losses that area looked very tempting. and i did used raping combo of falcon + dmg dealer
and lost no ship. well, it's rzr so in fact there wasnt any
real threat and i was mearly protecting my interests
(isk farming ofc :] ).
but the point is... if you have advantage of good intel (recon), you know your grounds, your enemy and you are aware of your combat capabilities... you should suffer no losses.
but it's bob so kudos anyway and keep on comming.
i believe that will actualy help delve boys to remain
vigilant and combat oriented at all times :]

I understand that. Since I have been flying in Delve for a long time, I have come up with my reasons for that:
1) Jump portals - Delve has the best network of jump portals I have seen, people barely have to travel thru gates. I can't attack at the POS, there are lots of guns protecting it.
2) Scouts - lots of people in Delve, they see me flying somewhere, they report it. Often times when I enter a system I see that people are already waiting for me.
3) I prefer to play aggressively, which increases my chances of getting a kills but also increases my chances of getting ganked. I know many times I should have turned back and stayed at safe, but instead I got charging at the gate and do my best to kill something before my ship is destroyed.

Funny thing about that. I joined ASCN simply because I wanted to fight BoB, I didn't care much for the alliance. That didn't go over well with the leadership. I was criticized by my corp for being too independent, not helping their fleet, running around on my own. My corp kicked me out. The corp directors actually flew a bb and 2 HACs in effort to kill me before telling me of their decision to kick me out. It didn't work - I sensed what they were after and simply waited it out.
Couple months later when war with BoB went bad for ASCN, I tried to join ASCN again - just for sake of fighting BoB. But I got word that CYVOK himself said that no corp is allowed to let me in.
Then a little while later, I got offer from ASCN corp to join. When I asked about CYVOK's order, they said that they don't care what CYVOK has to say anymore. It was after his titan loss. So I joined, the final 1-2 months of ASCN's existence.
Overall I find the whole thing pretty amusing. I don't want to bring ASCN back. I agree with BoB about their judgement of ASCN - it just wasn't a fighter alliance, thus doomed. Just like D2 was, probably like BRUCE

Numbers... numbers, I like them. How about you go back and add up all the isk numbers you've lost in officer fitted Machs and other shinny ships :D
Btw, thanks for killing the ISK-ravens, my lil pet project activity when I'm seriously bored.
Oh and more power to ya for dual-boxing out in Delve, if it's fun for you then keep at it. No need for such threads that scream "love me daddy love me daddy!" You've been around the block long enough and we both know what this thread is about... just do your part, and we'll do ours.

I tend to agree, ephemeron, you're one of the worthier roamers we get in our space and it's a shame our lot don't appreciate that for what it is. As much as I smile every time I see you die, it wouldn't happen unless you were there, uncloaked, having a go. Many people, especially those in BoB, would do well to remember the difference between you, and cloaking****gots.
For a one man band your stats are very good, well played.

i think you should use a third alt to be able to kill single farmer by yourself, otherwise it is unbalanced
