Although many of us were not playing Monday as we all had RL things to do, this weekend was incredible. It is days like this Sunday which make EVE so fun to play. Although out of character for us to POS bash, we did manage to pick a fight with our neighbors by knocking their towers into reinforced. After a few days of killing small undefended towers they finally did bring a fight. Thanks to Blackwater Mercs, Yellow Snow, Inf1dels, EVE Animal Control, Six Pack syndicate for helping us. Made the fight somewhat even.
We avoided a hotdrop by Cartel mostly because they hot drop EVERY time they are in the area. Stiletto scout Armageddon bait cyno ship...who sees that coming? Everyone. The ironic thing is that a small outbreak gang didn't see that one coming and lost a Tengu. The even more ironic thing is that my pos bashing BS got caught by that same outbreak gang later. Go figure.
Later on that night we managed to bait an EVE university frigate gang into attacking a single Tornado...that ended up not being so single after all. Eve Uni fought their hearts out but lost. And even later on that night, we placed a small bubble in RMOC on the HEMIN gate. Our neighbors Strurmgard and Fyrestorm broke up our little camp. We came back with a little larger ships and engaged them 8 on 10 and managed to win that one.
Shout out goes to everyone that we fought, and everyone that helped us fight. Curse is a wonderful place to be, it is a dangerous place, but fun. We still despise all blob alliances. Yes, hate is too weak of a word for how I feel about the big blob alliances that roll through Curse with a 50 man fleet talking crap.
Anyway, we are recruiting good players, people with initiative, people who enjoy being the underdog but never whine about being the underdog. We seek killers with a first person shooter mentality. We want people who don't mind brawling. We want people who fly smart. We seek low drama players. We seek A4D. |

I had a great weekend , killed a few lost a few , but enjoyed it all
We had everything from a bait orca ( does anybody actually fall for that )
A fail NC hot drop , we were followed on our roam by a rapier and heretic so knew it was coming ( come on gents at least get inventive )
Some real good fights from all those that bring it to curse that can think outside the box of blob and bring a gang that will get fights
All in all a bloody good weekend spent playing Eve with A4D

Last night was a ho hum night of PVP, it was one of those warm January days where everyone in my time zone was outside enjoying the day. ItGÇÖs days like that where people use their jump clones to go back and do some empire things to make a little extra cash thus we didnGÇÖt have enough people for a proper gang.
So what do you do in that situation, simple. Undock the Coercer of DOOM, and head on a one man roam. I did my usual roll through YKE then Hemin and found no targets. I decided to go to Jorund, and hit scan. Yep found my prey. A nice Juicy Sabre on the Doril gate.
I aligned to Doril and warped just as the Sabre was landing. I wanted him to know where I was going. Of course he followed. I waited a second or two, he landed 5 seconds later. I jumped into Doril to verify he didnGÇÖt have any help. It didnGÇÖt appear so. He jumped behind me, I made the mad rush back to the gate, then he bubbled himself.
So I locked him back, and overloaded the entire rack of pulse lasers on my prey. We hit, armor around the same time, I had the early advantage because my pulses had a lot longer range than his 150mm Auto Cannons. When he got under 10k I switched out from Scorch to Multi-frequency Crystals, and he started to melt, that shield buffer was not enough to overcompensate for that huge EM hole.
We hit armor around the same time, although I had half his shields. He hit structure as I was at 50% armor. Although I didnGÇÖt expect him to have a Damage Control, it only prolonged the inevitable. He blew up when I was at 70% Structure. The local chat from him was: GÇ£GF, unbelievable.GÇ¥ Of course I rarely talk in local as I prefer to speak with my guns, to add insult to injury, his pod was stuck in his own bubbleGǪhe lost his full set of Standard Implants.

Very capable and worthy corp. Often small to medium gangs will come down the pipe from Sendaya to Vol, time they make it into 8G or CL, there's usually not much left to pick over. Why ? Because they end up in KQ thinking it's just another system.

My time was limited today, I didnGÇÖt have time to go on any grand roams. Although I had been on most of the day, I was working so I wasnGÇÖt really playing as much as observing local. A couple 0utbreak dropped by and picked up some items, a few more of them came by in their Tengu fleet. A Banderlog blob happened by. All and all it was a fairly quiet day.
Needless to day by the time I was off work I was sick of being station so I undocked my trusty coercer of DOOM, and did the normal rounds of heading toward Jorund. Not 30 seconds goes by and I hear Syg, GǣWhere are you going?Gǥ. I reply GǣT1 Destroyer RoamGǥ then the inevitableGǪGǥOoh Ohh, I will comeGǥ, Pretty soon we had SG1A in a Coercer, 1 Cy Pherboi in a Rifter , and Pleniers in a Cormorant.
That was more than enough to take down most any single cruiser, we headed toward Doril. Pleniers our Cormorant pilot decided to be bait and jumped into Jorund. He got a Sabre on scan and determined that THIS was our target. As expected the Sabre bubbled up on the Doril gate and Pleniers jumped right into it and tackled the Sabre. We all jumped in and warped the 9au to the gate landing on top of the Sabre right as Pleniers Cormorant died.
Within 5 seconds the Sabre was locked, and popped. The sabres help jumped in saw the four of us and warped to Hemin. About that time our old buddy Cal 7 was in route and tackled him on the Hemin side. We manage to bounce him between gates and get the Drake kill. Not bad for 3 destroyers and a frigate.
We managed to track down another Drake coming from Doril and Cal got him bubbled up in Litom. We all jumped in and burnt him down within seconds. He was T1 fitted with Stabs so it wasnGÇÖt a very good kill, but it was better than nothing.

Another day in Curse.
Like always I log in after work and do the quick loop to see if I can find myself an easy frig or destroyer kill. Although I scanned down a destroyer in Hemin, I couldnGÇÖt get him to play. Chased him twice and twice he ran. The problem with a Coercer is the one mid slot, you pretty much have to find someone who wants to engage for it to work.
After finding nothing of substance I jumped into RMOC as 2 Drakes, and a Cyclone landed. I warped to a tactical on YKE. While there I found Br1ck Squads fourth memberGǪa Crow. He warped to YKE gate, so I warped to the K-QWHE gate at 300. He then warped to the same gate at 0. I warped to the K-Q gate at a 100km and he starts burning toward me.
We locked each other up at around 40km, and by the time his buddies got to 95km, the crow was dead, looted, and wreck popped. I love nanofiber fitted interceptors. Only takes two volleys. It was date night with my wife so I logged out for a few hours.
A few hours later and we were forming up to join some friends in an armor gang. We had a formed up 2 Hurrcanes, Absolution, Harbinger, Zealot, Slicer. We got wind of a similar group on the other side of the gate. They had Onerios, Devoter, Curse, Harbinger, 2 Hurricanes. Numbers wise was fairly even. They had logistics and a curse, and we had pure DPS.
The Curse was called first. It was not going down easy. The Oneiros was doing its job. It was called to put all drones on the Oneiros and when it started taking too much damage he jumped out, leaving the Curse to go down in seconds. Next the first hurricane was called. He went down fairly quick, and we were down a Brutix.
We went after the Harbinger, but he was tanked well. He popped right as our Zealot was going down. The next to be called Primary was the second Hurricane that had just jumped in. He was dying fairly quickly, so we had someone point the Devoter. Only the Devoter was left. Our Navy Slicer was too late to deagress so the Devoter jumped out in structure.
Killed = Curse, Harbinger, Hurricane x2 Losses = Zealot, Brutix

Some fights you are more proud of than others. Mostly because EVE is best played when you do something you shouldnGÇÖt have been able to pull off. Getting a kill out from under the nose of an enemy fleet is one of the most gratifying things I can think of. Most of us know that CCP has turned this in to a blob game. I think that is why our Corp does small gang warfare so much.
The game is truly a game of loud-mouthed lemmings that donGÇÖt know anything. All they know how to do is do what someone tells them to do. A4D is a bit different; we have a specific framework that we want everyone to live within. Basically, kill without being killed. If you can manage a 250 million isk kill in a T1 destroyerGǪthen DO IT. What is the worst that can happen, you get caught and are out a 30 million-isk clone? So what.
I decided to roll out in my Coercer of doom and did the usual rounds toward Doril. I tend to head that way because new people always go to Doril and do not know what the Coercer is capable of. There is always trouble in Hemin so I moved my scout over to keep an eye on the gates. Just as I figured, there was a Sabre, Cruor, Rapier, Blackbird, Rupture camping the Jorund gate.
I decided to bypass the camp and go the Utopia route. When I got there I found Doril empty. So I thought I would go the back way to Jorund to see if I could manage to bait one of the Hemin gang. As I floated at my tactical a Bringers of Death Scorpion jumped in from Doril. I thought here is my chance. NO one can pass up a free Scorpion kill. I know I couldnGÇÖt. So I followed the Scorpion into Hemin.
I didnGÇÖt have to hold cloak or anything; the Wraithguard guys were pounding the Scorpion. I started aligning for RMOC with my mwd on. The Cruor was orbiting the Scorpion. I locked the Cruor up, and over heated my rack of Dual Light Pulse Laser IIGÇÖs. Three volleys later the Cruor was dead, and the Rapier was nice enough to web me for a quick departure. Thanks guys!

Where to start? EVE was so kind to me yesterday, I am still laughing.
Omegaplex decided to throw a bubble up on the gate in K-QWHE, so I decided to sit on the bubble over my morning coffee. We mauled a ton of small ships that went through. Dramiel, Imperial Navy Slicer, Badger Mark IIGǪnothing major. Then we saw a small gang coming from two jumps out. 1 Curse, 1 Rapier, 3 Hurricanes, 1Cynabal.
We had very little DPS but we did have two Falcons on Standby. Since we had time, we had a lot of Minmatar Jammers available. When they jumped in, we held cloak until they were aggressed, killing the Cynabal, and 1 Hurricane. About that time the rapier decloaked and popped a covert Cyno.
In popped a Sin, Panther, Widow, and a bunch of bombers. Jam Jam Pop Pop and there you have it. http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_related&kll_id=9571
The gate camping got boring(as it always does), so we went on a roam through Catch and then Providence. Cal 7 managed to find a couple ratting battleships. So we killed them: http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9590 http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9591
While on our way back our scout ran into a small 0utbreak gate camp in D87E-A. He had a buddy with a KitsuneGǪso we killed him. http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9594
As we pulled in our home system we managed to run into our neighbors Bringers of DeathGǪso we killed them. http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9597 http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9598
Our friends in EVE animal control found some pirates in lowsec. That group of pirates had a few Bhalgorns, Carriers on Standby, an Armageddon, and Nightmare. So we killed them. http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9605 http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9600 http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9603 We had a second Bhalgorn in low armor but he self-destructed. Sigh.

For a Monday it was fruitful. Omegaplex had mentioned that he hadnGÇÖt had a chance to hang out with our new guy Mellivora aka GÇ£Honey BadgerGÇ¥. Since he is new to the corp he was trying to get a feel for the corp. I was done doing corp. things so I handed him a Coercer of DOOM. We did the usual roam toward Doril to find absolutely nothing. We met up with Pleniers, and Redshirt and we now had a gang of 3 Coercers, and Taranis.
We headed toward where Broken Toys were evacuating from the Tyranny of AAA, and we set up a bubble to exploit the fleeing masses. We found that an incursion was going on in the constellation so we left and set up a drag bubble on the out gate of F4R. Within 15 minutes, we managed a Badger, and a Bomber. We were about to hang it up, when a Tengu jumped in and failed to cloak. Pleniers got the tackle. Needless to say Coercers are nasty.
http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9615
A little later that night we ran smack dab into the middle of a Red Legion gang as we were going for a roam. We werenGÇÖt as successful as we could have been, but we did manage to get a few kills out of it. It could have been worse, our friends lost ships but we didnGÇÖt lose much. Fight was on both sides of the gate.
K-QWHE: http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_related&kll_id=9635 RMOC: http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_related&kll_id=9639
Cal7 is a scouting machine; the man can flat out find anything anywhere. He found an Ishtar and a Noctis in a random anomaly. He cycled his points and of course, they died.
http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_related&kll_id=9646
Later in Providence we had a pretty good fight but we were out manned and out ECMGÇÖd. It was fairly even when you consider we were in their home system. We lost one on the way back due to their blobs converging, but we managed to kill a Maelstrom on the way there so we were fairly even. It was a hoot. Definitely have to return there real soon.

You win some, you lose some, today was about losing. Melli GÇ£The HoneybadgerGÇ¥ and I went for a small roam yesterday. He had an Ares and I had a coercer. We went through our usual rounds to find nothing hanging around Doril, so we decided to go toward Litom. There has been lots of activity since the Broken Toys have been displaced by Against All Authorities(queue up Eric Cartman voice).
Anyway, Melli was in Jorund looking around system for any one of the six people in system when one of our buddies from EVE animal control landed on gate in a hurricane. Almost simultaneously a Broken Toys hurricane jumped in. The fight was on. I warped down to the gate to add my extra DPS. A second Broken Toy came to gate in a Drake. Although we were out gunned, we managed to kill the Hurricane and warp off.
I only added about 5500 damage to the kill, but I was told by our blue that without my DPS his 720 glass cannon would have surely perished. I can live with that.
We took a quick trip to GJO where the Rookie Empire guys live. For some reason they donGÇÖt like us. I donGÇÖt know why, I am always happy to loot their cans. Our goal was simple. Poke our head around until they undocked something that we could kill. Being pathetic as they are, they brought a Loki, Vagabond, Bomber, Dramiel for a Coercer and an Ares..
We tried to draw the Dramiel off the gate and with loki bonuses, he caught Melli, about 80 off the gate. Melli said heGÇÖs got meGǪI thought no he doesnGÇÖt! I went to assist and overheated on the Dramiel. Shields gone, Armor Gone, Dramiel pealed off with 10% Structure and Melli got to warp off. Teamwork at its finest.
On the way back however, we had delusions of grandeur and attacked a Rapier by trying to get under his guns. It worked in short run. But we both died while he was still at 50% Shields. I shouldnGÇÖt have broken my rule about the destroyer of doom. DonGÇÖt ***** with Cruisers. Rule Confirmed.
Later that day we had a fight where the server lagged so much that 3 of my guys couldnGÇÖt get a lock on anything that resembled an enemy shipGǪwe were already out gunned. Lost 4 killed 1. It happens. There is always tomorrow right? I finally broke the EVEGÇÖs top 1000 killers. Not bad for a married guy that only has two hours to play a night.

Win some lose some part deux.
Of course I didnGÇÖt have a lot of time yesterday, I logged in briefly and there were a couple huge gangs in local. The guys found out first hand not to undock in small ships which a sniper gang outside. It reminded me of when I was in forsaken empire and we shut down Euphoria Unleashed carebear facility in BWFGǪbut this time my new guys were getting sniped. Well at least they know now.
Later on that night I logged in to go help our buddies in Litom with a Broken Boys gang of 22. We hurried a Nano Drake gang figuring that we could Alpha from afar and have some escapablilty with the Loki Bonuses. Before we could even hit RMOC the locals that live in Hemin were on the gate, we hadnGÇÖt been prepared so we went back to the gate.
WraithguardGÇÖs alt in RMOC the trash talk started in local, they knew their gang was twice our size and were baiting us. Since we were all about the Leroy Jenkins last night coupled with the fact that we are always up for a fight so we jumped in and started targeting. We had 5 Drakes and a Scimitar (plus non combat Loki) to their Arazu, Falcon, 4x Drakes, 3x Hurricanes, Oracle, Scimitar. Needless to say we were out numbered and lost 3 Drakes and only killed a Falcon.
I donGÇÖt think any of us minded losing that fight, we often fight out numbered. In retrospect we probably should NOT have jumped into that gang knowing we were going to be doing our own personal rendition of William Wallace. We wonGÇÖt be giving them a 2-1 fight any more in their home system. It is hard enough overcoming those odds without them being able to reship.
When we arrived back home we got wind of Bringers of Death shooting one of our Bubbles. I have spots all over that gate so we warped there as we were arriving they landed on our station. So we warped on back, and after an Benny Hill moment of them bouncing around and us trying to find them, we managed to kill a Ferox, Drake, Rapier, Harbinger. So I guess we broke even on the night. At least we had even odds in this fight.
There are always more ships on our overview tomorrow.

The weekend before last has so much carnage that I was just drained and played little. Although I had about 20 or so kills this weekend, I had few fights of significance. My kills ranged from drawing a tackling Stiletto away from the gate so as not to get caught by the Lachesis, Huginn, Myrmidon, Scimitar combo trying to kill us. Splash one interceptor.
The second memorable fight came from a ten man T1 Frigate/Destroyer gang. I remember it well, they jumped in, noticed they were in a large bubble right before they said. GÇ£Some b!tches is going to get messed upGÇ¥. So we killed them all with sniping TornadoGÇÖs.
Yesterday was probably one of the more fun fights. Our neighbors the GÇ£Bringers of deathGÇ¥ seemed upset when we killed a Maelstrom. They brought over ten man gang. Vaga, 2 Scimitar, Broadsword, Huginn, 5 Drakes. We had Arazu, Curse, Rapier, 2 Drakes, Harb, Cane, and two Basilisks on the other side of the gate.
BOD warped their Broadsword down to the gate and jumped to the other side of the gate. Apparently thinking we were going to try and run. As soon as the bubble was up, they warped the rest of their gang to 0. We instantly opened fire on the Scimitars. Due to the heavy neutralizing from the Curse, the second scimitar was capped outGǪhe died soon after.
Due to A4D being habitually GÇ£point challengedGÇ¥ we only managed to kill both Scimis, the Vagabond, and the Broadsword. At one time the Huginn was called primary but he got the hell out of Dodge before he lost it. Of course the Drakes got away because they were the slowest of the bunch. One of these days I have to explain the term GÇ£Spread your points aroundGÇ¥ means donGÇÖt warp scramble the primary target.

Curse Politics
I have been recently informed that our next door neighbor has moved in to Curse with the intent of ridding Curse of everyone out that doesnGÇÖt adhere to their blue love fest. Curse is a great place, although relatively lawless, we each have our own set of rules that everyone abides by and no one really crosses the line.
Typically in Curse we donGÇÖt camp each other in station. Why? we donGÇÖt want to run our targets out. Typically we donGÇÖt hot drop each other. Why? Most of us donGÇÖt have a TitanGÇÖs and if we drop caps, there is always someone who has more. Typically we donGÇÖt over blob each other. Why? If you blob too much then you will never ever get a fight.
Curse is too small to house huge alliances, in fact it larger you get in Curse the faster you implode. Why does this happen? PVP corps tend not to be able to find fights if they are too big. Carebears canGÇÖt make isk because they canGÇÖt rat. And thirdly when a threat comes into Curse, the smaller corps tend to band together against the greater evilGǪin essence we rebel against GÇ£The ManGÇ¥.
These next few months are going to be interesting.
