Looking to invest some isk somewhere ( obviously to make a nice return ) and curious if there was any pointers anyone could give.
Ive done the market trading and made some good deals, but the time it takes up bores me and looking for something new.
Any thoughts? |

Wow, somehow I think you've reached the wrong forum. I mean the forum you might be seeking would almost certainly have stickey's or pointers for people looking for information. And lately, if you follow the FAQ's on Eve money making, you could just go to the options menu and select "Easy Mode".

Hmm that was about as useful as your post
Which would be about as useful as your ability to skim the stickies and maybe the first two pages of market discussions, all of which would take 30 to 45 minutes.
Or you know, we could just tell you and you could just trust us and it could all end up awesome because we said it would.

lol So nice to see the newer blood tear right in to the blue blood. Way to go.
As far as useful information, you can look to the stickies. I would also ask how quickly you wish to make isk. You could always look into an IPO or bond (though the waters have been mighty shallow as of late). Alternately, you could invest in Ricdic's EBANK (he seems to be good peoples) if you don't mind a lower return (at a lower risk).
You can always ask me in-game if you wish.

As far as new blood ripping into blue blood, well depends what side of the fence you sit on.
I had a look through the stickies and it really didnt make much sense to me.
Ive never been involved in the forum side of eve much, but im bored of trading and have what i think is a decent wallet and not too sure what todo with it, hence why Im looking for a new way to invest etc...
Friend mentioned shares and IPO ( what ever they are ), but I dont see any info on how they work or anything etc...

I'm going to try to avoid being a smartass although I really want to be considering how little you are actually trying to get your questions answered.
If you did read the stickies and are still lost you have two options:
1.) Use google or wiki to find out what all the BIG WORDS mean that you didn't understand. If you then start to get it you should look over the stickies again as well as the the first 5-6 pages of threads on this forum.
2.) If you still don't get it try a different forum until you start to understand. My guess is you will end up in the CAOD forum.

Ok here's the bottom line.
Atm there is a massive oversupply of isk available for investment and a massive undersupply of decent investment opportunities.
It therefore follows that any decent deal will be snapped up pronto pronto pronto
Hope this makes the situation crystal clear to the op but gl in your fledgeling 'investment' career anyway

Indeed I am actually. However, the point you don't get is that you must, absolutely must, do your own research. If you don't you have no idea the value with which to put on the advice of anyone here. The level of deceit and/or well intentioned idiocy that infests this place... it sometimes makes one gag.
