ABOUT US_____________________] X.C.O.M has experience dating back to 2006 with their pilot Tasic (alt Yunic) and brings plenty of experience to this corporation. Our corporation has experience operating our of worm hole space by farming combat sites, asteroid belts, gas cloud mining, you name it.
We are currently focusing on empire space and worm hole space until we can support our entire corporation to move to low sec or perhaps 0.0 some day.
Our corp is newly formed and there is lots of room for advancement if you show that you are committed, helpful and loyal. If you are a griefer, there is no point to even apply because we use a very strict recruitment process and can weed out these individuals. |

See, there's your problem.
Your little 5 man corp (assuming none are alts) can't possibly offer all this to new members. To claim otherwise is an outright lie. Your recruitment ad, along with dozens of other generic BS ads, waffle on about menial activities that the corp does together when there's barely enough members to fill a small Japanese car.
Your corp is in sort of a catch 22 losing scenario. You advertise all these activities that your corp supposedly does, new members join, then they find out there isn't enough people to actually do anything and they leave. Or they see the BS for what it is beforehand and don't even bother joining.
Why join your tiny 5 man corp when you don't even have enough members to do the activities it supposedly participates in?
You're trying to create a corp from the ground and make something of it, good on you. However you're going about it all the wrong way. If you try to be a little of everything in the hopes of appealing to everyone, you attract no one. This fallacy is the number one reason why new corps fail to take off.
Be realistic with your corp goals. Focus on one or two aspects of the game and really push to do them well. Yes you'll exclude this or that group of players, but the players that enjoy those aspects of the game your corp is focused on will show interest in joining.
Then when you have a large enough member base can you start to branch out into other activities. As it stands now, your corp supposedly participates in more activities than you have members and that's just sad. |

In reply to Dirty Wizard,
Thanks but no thanks buddy, at first glance over your posting history on the forums, it's clear your an ******* and negative in almost every post you make. The exit is that way ------> and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. As I had stated it is a newly formed corp and yes I can offer all of these things to the members for support and have done these things in the past. My character has been around since 2007 and I have lots of points in various skills to offer this type of support for my corporation. No where did I state that we may be doing all of these things at the same time but it is something our corporation is interested in and want to find other pilots out there that are as well.
There is plenty room for advancement and fun to be had, and if we want to specialize in all of these things than that is our prerogative and not yours. Who are you to tell us what we can and can't do/offer as a corporation?
I play my game as I see fit, you go play yours, move along and thanks for the bump and publicity. |
