I can say that I contributed to the fight by adding a frigate kill to the AAA killboards I guess that is what I get for carelessly trying to pop some pods. LOL!!!
Saved me pod and plants though.

Good point, there are 6 noobship kills included on our KB's battlereport. Another interesting fact, Apple Boy (ITERON MARK III) did 22,593 damage. Killing, looting and salvaging in the midst of battle ftw, Goonswarm should re-recruit the guy

AAA, as always, outskilled our pilots in terms of expense in ships (Nano-fits, slaves etc) and high-skillpoint players. They moved very coordinatedly and picked off any IAC/friends that got caught in bubbles away from our blobs.
The fight began at F4RQ station where a dreadnaught played bait until we could gather our split-up forces and drop ontop of them... from there, they nanoed out of range of alot of our first fleet. Losses followed on both sides, with IAC pilots coming in with 2-3 more ships, finally bringing more heavy ships with longer ranges. Any AAA that swooped close were quickly neuted and popped, though they were very good at keeping transversal up on our snipers. The fight then quickly shifted to a nearby belt where again a dreadnaught played bait, tanking them for quite some time. We quickly followed, some people on their fourth or fifth combat ship, throwing cruisers and such at AAA. By now, our fleet had 100+ and we had many people not in fleet just come in as soon as they were available.
AAA kept at range... finally, after some time, we got a sling on their main blob and popped quite a few of their command ships... they then warped off to our station, where we were already active aligned to... more AAA losses followed. They left.. we took a breath, went back to loot, and suddenly they all came back! By now wrecks filled everywhere and we could sling around quicker, able to keep in range for our snipers... all the while losing ships in about the same number as AAA.
It was a heart pounding few hours, that I can say. @.@

I dont care k/d ratio but if you start talking of them make sure all you alliance kills and losses are posted. I still see many mail at both sides that are not posted their own board..
So why dont we all just say gf and stop talking about kills and losses by numbers.

I think the discussion about the k/d stats pops out because we fought outnumbered at least 2:1 (3:1 in the end) throughout the entire 2-hours fight, and still managed to score twice as much kills (yes twice, not counting the noobships and other such crap). I think it is only natural to be excited about an outcome such as this ;)
Btw, when are you guys bringing the big bad blob to GE- again? That night when you came to reinforce poses was one of my favourite engagements in EVE \o/

I'll just throw my two cents in now before the flames get too high:
There was no clear winner, each side took losses. -A- took less numerically, but their ships cost more. IAC & company took more numerically, but our ships (overall) cost less.
-A- had the advantage in tactics, communication, and equipment. IAC had the advantage in numbers, home territory, and ability to come back after in new ships.
IAC held the field, -A- popped most of the wrecks.
Nobody won, if anything it was a draw.
Good fight all around, special thanks to our allies for coming. -Cider IAC ex-BOS

In terms of ISK "balance" IAC clearly > AAA, in terms of ship lost AAA clearly > IAC, but then again what is worst, to lose more ships? or to lose less but more expensive ships? Lots of questions :) There is no need to argue , gf is sufficient , we lost, we won, but we had fun and that is the most important thing.

Foo and their gang were easily capable of continuing for some time, forcing us to remain alert even with us, at the end of th fight, trippling their numbers. They chose not to due to, probably, a lack of reason. They were unable to defeat our fleet at that point, and were constantly taking more losses. It became boring, by then. The fight lasted THREE HOURS, for chripes sake.
I woulda left alot earlier, if I was in their shoes, but they stuck around and kept truckin'. M4d props for that.

welp, to all those proud "we held our ground and kicked out AAA" preachers... concider this: AAA came into your home, spit on your floor, having fun at your expense. And they can do it again anytime they want. You are like sheeps, you are simply have to accept and react to that. There is nothing more that you can really do.

hell yeah! that was awesome! you guys were all fighting on the station and I was able to move around doing my thing in my battle iteron, with salvager attached. With my shield booster I actually managed to tank a ceptor that we ended up killing too
apoc got his x-type stuff back by the way
one thing I learned is that the mac client sucks for handling that crap, under the pc client little lag, mac client I would zoom out and it would randomly go black for 10-15 seconds and reset, then the little ships buzzing around me were desynced from my overview (overview properly marked a ship going back out at 7km/s to 200km, but the ship was still flying around trying to keep stuff tackled on screen...) that sucked . Best part is it waited until I got back to the POS to crash. thanks ccp
and there was no winner really, we just had home court advantage that let us keep throwing more ships at -a- while they couldn't reinforce their group as easily so we were able to hold the field while they were able to kill more ships. It was just a lot of fun for everyone. Hachou had his fun too, it was his first time leeroy'ing his dread. (He learned how to by watching me leeroy'ing my thanatos all the time)
