I very rarely find hidden belts when I am probing. What exactly should I be scanning for.. signatures or anomolies? Are they really just that rare in 0.0? Just wondering, I'd really like to use my probing skills for something other than radar sites and plexes, and mining is just a nice, low stress thing to do. If anyone could help it'd be appreciated. __________________ 0.0 bound... |

Edited by: jinkoti boslin2 on 15/06/2008 11:40:45 My corp mate has been teaching me about scanning.. We just found a nice hidden belt in high sec dropping multispectral probes and searching for Gravimetric signals. Im not so sure about scanning in 0.0 though.. Strangely i found lots of gravi signatures in high sec systems, but not seen a radar yet. Does anyone know if the occurrence of different types of signature are dependent on sec status?
Hope this is helpful..

I have no problem finding radar sites with multispecs, but i never seem to find gravimetric. Are these sites just rare? Just floating around 0.0 |

From my own experience, gravimetric sites are more common in lowsec than in zero-zero. I guess it makes sense, since rare ores are already there. Also see very few Ladars.

The grav sites are in many ways superior to 0.0.
A large gneiss or dark ochre or crokite... in a low sec system with a refinery or just a station is golden.
These can pull in 125000 gneiss or the equivalent of the other ores, then you refine on spot, and move to hi sec to sell.
When you factor in all the 0.0 risks for high end ore, this is a lot faster and better.
