It is my intention to anchor another large tower at some point over the next few days in Liekuri, a high sec system 3 jumps from Jita, containing about 30 cheap offices.
The tower I run over in Direrie is proving very popular, to the point where queues are forming in most of the ME slots, and so, now that I have a freighter, I'm looking to expand.
I'm a bit short of capital at the moment, and I don't want to open a large tower without knowing that it's going to pay for a reasonable part of its own fuel costs. I therefore propose the following rental terms:- You purchase the labs you want to use, and I anchor them for you.
- Alternatively, you pay me 90m isk / 150m isk (for normal/advanced labs respectively) and I buy them for you.
- When you no longer need the lab, I can buy the lab from you or give it back.
- I charge perodically, in advance, for your corp to have exclusive use of one lab, with discounts for multiple labs or long bookings. See below.
- No additional costs for installing jobs, except a 0.01 isk hourly fee for tracking purposes.[*]You may have one or more characters join House of Marbles in order to use copy/invention slots from within a private division hangar
[*]If anyone else installs jobs in your private lab, you may request that I redeploy it, cancelling them. I think I can filter out most opportunists via standings, so this shouldn't be a problem.
I will not anchor the tower until there are at least 8 lab-months of reservations in total. Also, I might, if demand warrants it, open up some more slots using the same price schemes as in Direrie. So far, there has been interest in 1 lab-month.

For advanced labs, there is a 25% surcharge. This reflects both the higher running costs and the reduced number of labs I'm able to run as a result.
This works out a good deal cheaper than the standard Zzz rate of 14k/hour, especially if you resell some of your spare capacity.

Do you per chance have a link to a basic lab FAQ somewhere?
I am interested but have very little experience with research done in a POS.
What's the difference between a normal/advanced/npc corp lab?
How many slots are there, different research speeds? I'm guessing there's copying, ME, PE slots just like in npc corp labs? And how many slots can I use per character with fully maxed skills? Are the slots separate or are there only a certain number of slots no matter whether you wish to do ME or PE research?
Last, but not least, who are you? No offense meant, and although I do know what Zzz does, I don't really keep up to date with who's who. Was just looking for the Zzz link but I couldn't find it.
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm a big noob when it comes to quality research.

To deal with your more specific questions first:
1. Standard POS lab:- 3 ME slots (25% time bonus)
- 3 PL slots (25% time bonus)
- 1 Copy slot (25% time bonus)
- 5 invention slots (50% time bonus)
2. Advanced POS lab: - 2 ME slots (25% time bonus)
- 3 Copy slots (35% time bonus)
- 2 invention slots (50% time bonus)
- 20% higher POS fitting costs (at most 12 on a tower rather than 15 normal ones)
Unless you operate from within House of Marbles corp, you will only be able to use the ME and PL slots, and only for jobs that require no materials.
I wrote a fairly extensive lab guide that's linked in the sticky thread at the top of the science & industry forum, if you look through the list there, which should cover any other questions about the labs themselves.
I've been operating the tower in Direrie for about a year (it's taken quite a long time for a steady demand to build up). During this time, people operating within my corp have trusted me with several billion isk worth of battleship & battlecruiser BPOs.
I'm also fairly well known within the market discussions forum; I act as a trusted third party to audit IPOs using people's API keys. I don't usually advertise myself as an auditor, though, because if people haven't already heard of me by reputation, they probably don't want to trust me anyway.

I'm very interested in the concept. i'm currently in my own corp apart of zzz operateing in dierre. biggest issue is loseing the ability to have my own corp. i enjoy my own corp hangers and the corp wallet features.
id be willing to move my operation to where ever. could we work out a system where i could still copy and me research the invention lil outta my skills currently id be willing to work out a monthy fee for this.

Sorry for the delay. I've now replied to you in-game.
At present I'm contemplating setting up a medium tower, with one or two alliance labs and a few more for private hire; there's still scope for one or two more people to go private if there's any demand for it.
Bear in mind that it can take a few weeks to switch from an alliance lab over to a private one, while all the ME jobs complete; I'd much sooner go private from the beginning.

Tower now up. I decided to buy the structures myself in the end, so all that people need to pay is the rent for using the labs.

Bump. I currently have 3 corp divisions available with which to accommodate new clients atm, so depending on your needs you can do a block booking in Liekuri or rent by the hour in Direrie.
1 standard lab has already been reserved for 2 months, and I may be willing to offer discounts to the next few people who express an interest, especially if it's a large booking.
