I was/am reading all this topics on wars & kills & takeovers & braging ... CA lost, m0o this, Evol that, MASS here, C4 ... Its kinda funny I tought this is a game we all love to play ( atleast I do - ) in any kind of way ... is played by adoults, meaning 20+ ? Looks like I am wrong!
To the point ... But I like politics (ok ok ... wierdo ) and this f* braging and ****ing who got killed, poded, destroyed, owned, ... makes lot of crapy posts and nothing realy good to read. I would REALY REALY like from CCP to make some page LOG FILE that basicly posts all destroyed ships, pods and station owner changes. Ist preety simple, since Concord sends mail to everyone that looses ship and get pod killed with all data (date, time, by who, ... ). It would SO much reduce this forum craps and kill ratios. Preety simple to extract kill:loss from that kind of log ...
Don't know if this has been mentioned before and i will copy/paste this in "Idea" but I think it mainly concerns ppl reading here ... so do you ALL agree we need this?
Have fun ... -----------------------------------------------

would be nice,
but Im sure it will not reduce flames on the forum,
CA will simply say that we fake the kill messages. |

i agree
not only could there be a public forum, but perhaps also a ship kill confirmation note when u kill someos, as, at presemtt, only the victim gets a note. sometimes u genuinely dont know if u kill someone or not

Zigy I could'nt agree more. WE NEED offical kill lists to try and foil these forum-warrior-spin-monkeys.

Well TWD, I think the whole point was to make it unquestionable so denial of Kills/Losses was put out of the equation.
I don't think it will take away the flames completely either.
Though not because anyone would deny the kills, but instead they would talk about the circumstances of the kills/losses.
However I think it would reduce them immensely.

Thats the idea ... no point in eliminating descusion about how (there will still be "i was mining, u nasty pirates, get someone your own size" stuff) but rather eliminating the talk we owned your a$$es 49BS : 1.7 frigys that is kindergarten stuff ...
And we all know m0o's gona hack it anyway

Only way to get true offical kill lists from the side that killed them is from a killed eve-mail which hopfully will be put in soon.
At least we can figure out what we killed and what we didn't in fleet battles then. I really hope CCP will implement this sometime soon. Fear The Bunny

Edited by: BobGhengisKhan on 12/05/2004 17:39:32 How will it eliminate the denials? They'd just claim we made the pics in photoshop

It be more offical then anything and theres actual hard proof of it in eve-mail format.
You've been in fleet battles and sometimes u think people die and they don't. It happens or just some quick raid and you blink thinkin you got the kill but you didn't. It would make beliving it a little more easier because both sides have the mail saying yes I died/Killed him/her. Fear The Bunny

Kill mails aren't enough. Anything client side is open to exploitation/interpretation. You have to take the individual out of the process completely for it to be reliable.
Never rely on your users for accurate information.

It would be better to make it an in-station function like the Bounty List.
However, this information should be temporary (3 or 4 days) before being deleted.
That means it can be used for confirmation rather than "Look at my Kill List" boasting.

Edited by: Tesk Malloc on 12/05/2004 22:59:18 Hmmmm, two sides to this coin methinks.
I agree that on one side an offical kill list would be cool and get rid of some of the lame "we killed you" posts, which I get sick of sometimes.
But on the other side it would reduce the effectiveness of propaganda, something which I believe has a valid place in Eve, certainly in the arena of alliance politics.
