Take it easy, youngin. No military - or an individual - cannot stomache defeat or defeat [or loss after loss] without affecting their morale, regardless of their devotion or training.
Or so I've been lecturing.
Take it easy and steady. -------- MAIDS. Now with black, frilly uniforms. |

Day 19
Enter my pod and had it inserted in my Augoror class cruiser and took it for a spin. Nothing much to report today, was pretty much a check the market and restock some items that were running low. When I need to travel 10 or more jumps to buy equipment the market is needing help.
Anyway gotta get back to shopping.
Maybe I can get into a fleet later today.
So I joined a fleet. The usual group. Doing the usual thing. Fun as usual aswell. Kills, losses, it's all fun.
--
Additionally I thank everyone for the Kind words so far.
To Cpt Constantinus, I have No Drone Skills nor an Interest to learn them currently.
To Ghengis Tia Logistics are all well and Nice, But this Part of the Market really is Depressed and needs Good sold. It's almost a 100% Guarantee that one has to Travel through Low sec at least one jump to get equipment moved. Put stuff on the market and it will sell.
To Aria Jenneth, I Agree, the Augoror I lost was Running Medium Beams, While I did to a Dirty beating to the ship I was engaged by, the damage was on the weapons on his side. I'm sure if we faced off again I would fare better.
To Zekarus, Thank you for your kind words. I'm really not worried about losing ships. Usually it's when I'm in a fleet and I'm helping take down stuff that is wirth 10 to 12 times what my ship is. My kill board record speaks for itself. While I don't land killing blows, I can hold my own till I get Primiaried.
To Veron Daerth, God Walks with all Loyal Amarrians. I hold true to my Faith.
To Jasperus Dolorosa, If you have not entered the War There is room in the 24th Imperial Reserves if you wish to do so.
To Haverloth, I have the Honor of Flying with members of navys everyday, it brings me pride that I am not alone in my convictions towards the Empire and God.
To Emrod, Don't talk about joining. Join! and Bring any Amarrian Pilots with you that wish to see their homelands and Empire safe from the hands of the Tribals.
And to the tribals who responded, and their Gallente Masters, I have seen your Mettle on the field of battle, and I find your lack of willingness to engage in equal numbers sad. As that you feel the need to engage a fleet of frigates 20 strong with 30 cruiser class and larger ships I know that your morale must be lower than you think it is.
The Reclaiming is upon you tribals. We will bring you the Word of Our Lord and the Empire. -

You know, I hear that complaint almost daily, and it never gets any less silly. Take it from a pirate - reducing the strength of your fleet to match that of your opponent's is not honour, it's foolishness. If you want a fair fight, ask for a duel. If they accept and then dishonour the agreement, you can complain, but elsewise? When you can take an easy victory with little effort, why would you walk away and make the fight difficult?
Well, unless you're bored, of course.

Day 20
Wow twenty days of working for the empire. What a great day for a promotion. I made Arch Lieutenant today. I'm getting good at this and as I practice more I just get better. I am really enjoying the fleet ops and the solo stuff is fun as well.
I lost my Augoror class cruiser again last night. That is ok however. I plan to replace it with an Omen class. I have acquired the hull but I am unsure what to fit onto it in the way of equipment. I am thankful that my computer in the office has a simulation program that allows me to fit it out before I even try attaching the modules, or even have them purchased yet.
I have just spent the last 2 hours getting my Omen class cruiser sorted out. She handles quick. Very nimble and has a decent range and rate of fire. I even managed to squeeze on some tackling gear. The next fleet operation I take part in should be fun. She is also faster than my Augoror class.

Day 21
Lost my Omen class last night. And it does not even upset me. I am so used to ships exploding out from under me that it is second nature now.
Slower day today. Got some major operations coming up. I have to prepare and get ready. I may try out a Executioner class frigate for this up coming op. They are calling for fast ships. I am not sure how fast I can make one of them but I can try I guess. It is something to play around with anyways.
My office computer system was attacked today. I tracked the source back to an office on another deck that station records report has been unused since the station opened to public. The security cameras on the deck show a lot of Gallente and Minmatar people hanging around the front of it. Station security are still reviewing the data logs to find out who it was.

Day 22
Station security have advised me they have arrested and executed the culprit. They declined to mention who it was but they have shown me the video that was aired to the slaves showing the event. One would not think that an explosive charge in a collar would be such a clean way to preform an execution. They offered me the culprits head in a very expensive looking box, but I declined. I have no need for the heads of my enemies.
I have preformed the last minute preparations for today's fleet operation. I have moved my ship to the staging point and I am awaiting form up. This should be fun.
The fleet op was enjoyable. We only made one ship kill and eventually our fleet of 20 ships was hunted and engaged by a fleet of 60 or more tribal ships. I did not lose my ship as the fleet commander issued an order to all ship navs to warp out.
Later in the day I joined another fleet op. This one did better. Until the same fleet as before engaged us. I lost my ship yet again. But they failed to pod me. -

It is good to read how valiantly you have been defending the Empire, Arch Lieutenant Sarum. I shall have to see if I can deliver supplies to the area. Would you send me a message via the neocom with the location? Day 23
Slower day today. Finished repairing the damage to the computer in my office and I have as of yet to see the inside of my pod today let alone the outside of a station. However I am just about done with the repair work. I am lucky that the saboteur did not know much about my system or the damage could have been much worse.
Joined a fleet op and helped capture two complexes. No reported deaths. - Trader Garion, the system that I, and many of our fellow Militia warriors are based out of is Mehatoor. -

Slow day today. Didn't really accomplish much. However I did come to the aid of a fellow pilot. He was fighting in a complex attempting to defend it. He was out numbered but was holding his own. However as I arrived some more tribals arrived and my ship was quickly lost. I did however almost take a cruiser on my own.

Day 25
Again a slow day for me. Well to start with. Started my patrols and found a system with 4 complexes that the tribals had uncovered. I started trying to capture one of them as help arrived. Then the tribals showed up. I spent about 3 min dueling a single Rifter class frigate. He was moving faster than my guns could track and our combined speed made it hard for him to hit me. Unfortunately for me there was assets of the Matari navy also shooting at me. Their accuracy was greater and eventually my armor and hull failed again.
Soon after I was again engaging the Matari forces and lost my second ship of the day. At this point I called it a day as far as combat was concerned. I spent the rest of the day dealing with administrative matters. -

Day 26
Started to ferry more ships and equipment to my headquarters. Also signed a deal with an industrialist for a steady supply of arms and equipment. This helps my logistics a great deal.
Now as a reminder these logs are being released with a two day lag on them. The reason I bring this up again is I am going to air some feelings about the current internal problems happening in the militia command.
There is currently two hot heads causing a lot of grief within the militia. I am of the opinion that both sides, well the CEOs of the involved corporations, are both acting like children. From what I have been able to learn the argument is over who's epeen is bigger. Honestly, if the empress was to witness their behavior, she would have them crucified on the walls of Dam Torsad. To borrow a phrase from an other member of the Militia.
Well thats it for today. Safe travels. -

You know, your dedication to the Empire is indeed admirable, as is your seemingly fearless engagement of any enemies you come across, respect for that.
While it might put you in a dis-favorable position at times of being outmanned and totaly outgunned with no desire to even contemplate a retreat, is is, again, truly admirable to see someone so dedicated to their cause as you are.
Your fellow militia companions might learn a thing or two from you, if they did, the Matari/imperialist Amarr war might have been less one-sided.
The Amarr was supposed to counter the numbers and will of the Minmatar with quality tactics and dedication, as well as will, but this is apparently not so.
A shame, to be sure. I wish you luck in your endeavors, you will need it.

Lady, Your journal has given me hope that there is indeed more to piloting than just clearing out pirates and other mercenary rabble out of highsec areas, if I but stay the course. I too have been asked to transport troops to their new postings, but unlike you, I thought it was beneath me. Now I see that although it not the most glorious way to serve, it IS serving a higher purpose and if I persevere I will become a integral part of the Empire.
Thank you for bolstering my flagging spirits... Yours, Aerik Chayne

Day 27
I was a little busier today. Found and helped capture three complexes today. If I capture a couple more I will receive another promotion. I have also been considering the training to fly Battle Cruiser class ships. I hear the Prophecy class is a good ship to fly.
I am officially starting the recruitment process tomorrow. I will be making a official announcement to kick this off as well.
The industrialist I hired the other day has already started to deliver ships and weapons to me. I have also arranged to have them mass hauled by a freighter for contract. Once a week every week I shall receive large amounts of fully fitted and ready Punisher class ships. I will also be providing them to other groups in the militia at no cost as quick ship replacements to other Amarrian pilots.
A note about who I am looking for in the way of recruits is people willing to fight and die for the Amarr Empire. While I will not be to picky about race I will put a preference on Amarrian pilots. At current my corporation can maintain a maximum of 10 pilots. However depending on how fast the roster fills up will affect if I take the time to improve my skills to allow a greater sized roster.
Additionally I think that I will make official contact with some of the larger Amarr loyal alliances and corporations to make official exchanges of positive standings. My corporation already have a majority of them set to a positive standing however I am uncertain if the favor has been returned.
Well not much more to say today about my doings in the great universe. However I do have more to say on the internal strife within the militia itself.
One of the CEOs has removed himself and his corporation from the militia, a few other corporations have also removed themselves from the militia. This makes me sad as that we are losing some fleet commanders but some of the other corporations are going to be stepping up and running open fleets. -

This. Statistics say the Empire is losing on all fronts, both in land-grubbing race as well as kill-death ratio. One cannot help but to respect a soul with such dedication and commitment in face of defeat.

OK the recruitment deceleration has been made. However I have not had the chance to contact diplomats as of yet. I was busy handling some administrative details then I hopped into my ship and started a patrol. Currently I am not near my headquarters, I have been given a task by some of the other leaders in the militia to preform. This is a task that I am well suited for and one that I am enjoying so far. Currently I am unable to provide any more details at this point as that the operation is currently classified.
I have been informed by the industrialist that I contracted to build gear for me that he has 20 completed punished ready to go with a lot more under construction. This makes me quite happy. The shipment will apparently be arriving soon to be distributed to my hanger.
Well not much more to say, other than fly safe. -

Mm. Well, I wouldn't write the Empire militia's epitaph just yet, pilot. "Is losing," especially in war, is not quite the same thing as "has lost." I don't mean to equate the Crusade with, say, BoB, but fortunes have a way of turning, and if I were with the Minmatar right now, I'd be wary of cheering too loudly. While I don't believe the universe has a sense of humor, as such, it often seems to meet not only action but also arrogance with an opposite and equal reaction.

No, no, of course it is too early to write an epitaph just yet. I merely was suggesting that it is men and women like our young officer here that the Empire still stands, despite numerous attempts to crumble it down by its enemies.

Day 29
Today was a good day. Got everything that I wanted to get done and then some. Started out by contacting some of major Amarrian corporations and Alliances.
Then I undocked my ship and started my patrol. Again due to operational security I can not reveal where I am currently operating out of.
During my patrol I encountered a Matari minor Navy Complex. I entered the area and started towards the main building while I prepped the computer to broadcast the virus that will compromise their system and allow the Empire to take control of the system. Once I started my broadcast, the local Matari navel ships moved to engage mine. They appeared to be just a small defense force at first, a handful of frigates supported by a pair of destroyers. Then came a few more battle groups of the same ship configuration. It is very true what they say about how a ship handles with a pod pilot at the controls.
I managed to disable or destroy every ship they set against me. The full total was 12 Frigates and 6 Destroyers. In some ways I feel bad for the crews on their ships. However they did fire on me first.
Not much more to say currently. Safe travels everyone. -

Day 30
Busy, busy day. Helped capture alot of complexes and even earned another promotion. I am now an Imperial Major. All said and done I was involved in the capture of at least 15 complexes.
I engaged and helped destroy a Rifter class frigate piloted by a pirate pod pilot.
I have found that while the infrared crystals I commonly use in my medium pulse laser are effective at times it is worth switching to the multi-frequency ones. I just dislike the range trade-off.
I have also been advised that I should consider changing my common ship layout to install an afterburner to increase my combat speed, or if not that remove some of the repair systems and the armor plate to instead install an inertial stabilizer or weight reduction kits. I am currently unsure if I will do this as I have grown quite accustomed to the thick plates of armor on my ship, and I know from active combat experience that the armor has saved me on a few occasions. However I will preform some tests at an undisclosed location to see if the suggested changes will make a true difference.
I also made the trip back to headquarters to sleep in my own bed for once rather than in my pod. I also received the first shipment of arms and equipment from the industrialist. I now have over 40 shiny new Punisher class frigates fully fitted and ready for combat.
I can now not worry about replacement ships for a while now. This makes me quite happy. I am told by the shipwright that I can expect more soon. So I may start providing ships for free to militia members as well. I think I may look into the costs of having Maller class cruisers built as well, and the fittings for them. I will have to play with my simulation software some to find an optimal set up. I may spend some time playing with a Prophecy class battle cruiser hull in the simulation as well.
Anyways gotta move on, got some paperwork to do. Fly safe and may the Empress protect.
-- On a Side Note, I have been Called back home for a while to help out with some family matters. I expect to be back in space in about a months time. -

Day 43
Ahh, back after 13 days of being under cover. I am currently not able to discuss the details of my assignment, but soon the Amarr empire with have completed its analysis of the data I returned with.
For now all I can say is the doctor that has been in the news was not the only one that was behind lines.
I is nice to be back inside my ship again. I still don't know how the Matari can fly those rusting heaps they call a ship and not have them fall apart around them.
So I have easily fallen back into my old routines of patrols. I am still catching up on the events of the past 13 days but it looks like not much has changed. The tribals are unable or not willing to engage in equal numbers, in fact I have heard rumors that they are bringing carriers to engage frigate fleets. I find this amusing and concerning at the same time.
It is amusing because there is no way a fleet of 20 frigates can do much more than spark the shields of a carrier. And the concern comes from the fact that the Matari have grown so confident that they feel there is little risk in fielding one.
This will change. And change soon I think.
Well that is enough for today. Gotta get back to catching up and reviewing applicants for the corp. -- Just a Reminder there is still a 2 day lag on journal entries and real time. -

Busy busy day. Did some patrols and joined a fleet. I was involved in the destruction of a Megathron class battleship. I lost my Punisher class frigate in the process but it was worth it.
We also at one point had the support of multiple carriers.
And once again, the tribals are unwilling to engage us in equal numbers. Our 15 ship fleet was blobbed by over 40 ships. I guess this just goes to show that the Matari have no honor. -

Day 46
Today I lost my Maller class cruiser. However, it was traded for a Rokh Class battleship and a Onyx Class support cruiser.
I quickly refitted a new Maller and rejoined the fleet. I was also involved in the destruction of a Raven class battleship before being a brave scout in a medium complex to announce what class ships were being used by the Matari fleet.
Again I quickly replaced my ship with a Executioner class frigate and rejoined the fleet.
The fleet sent out scouts and found a large Matari gate camp. We ran the camp with no losses and set up our own on the other side of the gate. We waited about 45 min before the Matri fleet, which was twice our size, to work up the nerve to engage us.
Finally they decided to get brave and engage us. The local comm channel spiked to 91 connections and every ones pod interfaces slowed down. None-the-less we engaged the Tribal fleet and only suffered one loss while they suffered many losses. I was involved in at a minimum the destruction of a Armageddon class battleship and the pilot's escape pod. I actually managed to get the pod mostly on my own.
I then lost my Executioner class frigate in a stupid mistake. I slowed down and a straggler from the Matari fleet fired a pair of heavy missiles at me and poof the ship was gone.
To be honest it has shown that even a small ship can help a large fleet, as long as you pay attention.
Anyways that's it for today. Fly safe. -- I apologize for the delays but I have again been called away on family business, and have not been spending much time in space. -

So, you attacked an Onyx and Rokh with eight others, yet dished out miniscule - almost negligent - damage out and claim glory and credit. Such arrogance, those deeds would have been done with or without your presence. Perhaps one should try engaging multiples alone before accusing others of lacking nerve. It's easy to hide behind numbers and call names. Anybody can hide behind numbers and call names.
There are podders from all sides of conflict whom more than have secured their place in Valhalla. Prove yourself to be one.
((I was going to write up a nice encouragement, but seeing how this is a troll character, that would have been 'out of character'. Everybody's got to start somewhere, and I for one am looking forward to many solo-kills done by you, or some gutsy moves done even if you end up on the defeated side.)) ---------------------
