I have ganked a fair few mission runners, only ever on my own. On one particular occasion, a raven pilot flagged himself, and so... being a dirty rotten scoundrel I trundle back in an Ishtar tanked & neuted & with t1 praetors.... needless to say, after no less than 1 hour and 3 minutes of combat (was barely 4 months old and with no rat dps to help):

After holding out so long, it was obvious he was cap injected but I felt sure there was something else in there that made him take so much...
10 minutes into the fight, I took a toilet break. 30 minutes into the fight, he started to down my weak praetors one by one. By around 40 minutes, he still had cap charges - but I was now down to hobgoblin II's and fresh out of charges. Unwilling to let this guy slip away after so long, I call in a friend in a Dominix who drops off a fresh batch of praetors, and some cap booster charges. He offers to remote rep the drones but I refuse, and he leaves the deadspace complex. By around the hour mark, he had now killed off this new batch of drones but was slowly but surely slipping down into armor... and in the end, faithful hobgoblin II's slowly chewed their way to victory.
He took it on the chin, and his smack afterwards was justified and strong.
I've never been so embarrassed, yet relieved, to win a fight. And... well if it had not been for a friendly supply drop, I would now be sitting in a dark corner of a monastery somewhere mumbling to myself.
May god save me, if it is right that he should do so...

I saw a Drake the other day getting scrammed at a gate on the edge of The Citidal. It was being aggressed by an Apocalypse or a Cyclone (can't remember exactly). I decided to stick around and watch, thinking the Drake would be toast since it wasn't even really fighting back. I eventually decided to lock the Drake to see how it was doing and it did look like toast. Then the Drake turned on his shield booster and in a few seconds undid the damage the guy took the guy about 5 minutes to do. A corp mate of the other BS in a frig started getting involved and the Drake headed towards the gate and stopped shooting, still tanking both of their DPS. After a few minutes of this very one-sided looking battle the Drakes corp rocked up with 4 or 5 ships and wiped both of the other guys in a few seconds.
Was one of the most interesting fights I've seen, I definitely thought the Drake had had it and I guess the guy pewpewing him did too.

We were hunting in Tama. Pretty*****y as allways we engaged a dominix with 2 vagabonds and a Crow. After what seemed like 10 minutes and after weve killed wave after wave with ogre2's webifier drones and hammerheads without coming close to break his tank, and our ammo running dangerously low we realize we need more firepower.
So i tank the domi together with the Crow while Gaia flies back to the station and picks up his Ishtar. The Domi comes close to killing us, we are shifting on being within scrambling range until the Ishtar comes back. Even after Gaia arrives with his sentry drone'ing Ishtar it takes a while to break his tank.
That was a relief from the 1month olds in shield tanking myrmidons we were used to.

Yeah Ok this is about uber ship fits but really, are there any truely spectacular ones? They all die to a blob and show me somewhere in eve where there isnt a blob.

i got two that i can remember.....one would be a drake that we didnt actually kill. He was sitting on station and i aggressed him in my myrm, and he aggressed back.....so my gang warps in (sleip,sleip,astarte) and we all enagge him.......only to 5 minutes of shooting later be cursing up a storm because he hadnt dropped below 90% shields yet
The 2nd one was a megathron that landed on the gate and was flown by a relatively young pilot so i figured it couldnt possibly be fit that well and aggressed it again in my myrm. Well i found out the hard way that it was indeed a t2 neutron-gank mega and the pilot was highly spec'd and had almost straight trained for it....I was mwd'in away and managed to warp out at 2% structure as my friends finished killing him

You should go back to doing just that - fighting the odds in your ruptures and being known for taking on most anything without losing your cool... In an effort to keep this thread from going to the dogs...
When I first finished training Interceptor I, I decided to go and buy a Taranis and fit it as best I could, which wasn't all that good. No T2 anything. I was too excited to care though, and promptly headed over to Tash-Murkon to flip cans. After spending all morning scaring off retrievers and somehow killing an Incursus, I was feeling like a big man and flipped the can of a miner in an osprey. Imagine my surprise when the osprey hit me with a nuet, web, and scram, and proceeded to let his drones rip me apart. Kudos to that miner and his anti-flipper setup :)

I was flying solo in my myrmidon once near old man star and came across a lone caracel who just jumped in. Seeing him on his own i engaged confident that i could tank the gate guns and kill him easy. My skills at that time were still progressing but i did have T2 hammerheads and top of the line T1 gear with navy ammo.
I start attacking this guy and for about a minute watched his shield damage, well um, there was none!, he didnt have a scram it seemed and because of his uber tank i became quite spooked suspecting a trap was about to be sprung on me with him being the bait. I decided to warp out he posted in local "wtf?" which was exactly what i was thinking. All i know is that my myrmidon would eat cruisers for breakfast and this guys setup didnt even blink, many props to the pilot.
I know this isnt as completely uber as this topic may call for but at least im reasonably on topic
