Howdy,
I am experiancing lockups on my PC only when I play EVE. I can play EVE for about 2 or 3 hours, but after that time it locks up. If I leave the game up for a while then come back it will also lockup, and if it hasn't then it will with in the next few minutes of playing. This was occuring before the update, but it seems much more frequent. I have to totally reboot my computer to get back in to the game. After it has rebooted it will go maybe about 30 minutes if I'm lucky before locking up again and just have to shut the thing off. Not really sure what is causing it, but thought I would post to see if anyone else is having a similar issue.
I have an ATI 9800 XT Video Card. I have attempted to upgrade the drivers but EVE only displays the splash screen and doesn't even get to the login screen. So I have to be on an older driver. AMD Athlon 3400 2.20 ghz 2 Gigs of RAM.
Thanks, Arloeswr

See if you can find the version of the drivers just before the current ones to install.
You may also want to change your vsync settings:
Graphics options -> check "advanced settings" -> Present Interval to one.
let us know if that helps. ____________________________ I break things.

Well I've reset my interval level to one, and changed my cache to between high and low a few times and I still appear to lock up. This is the only game that actually does this that I am currently aware of. Any other suggestions?
Thanks, Arloe

I'd suggest updating that first. You may want to find the latest drivers and one version back from that as occasionally ATI's newer drivers may have problems.
I'd also make sure your sound drivers are up to date as we've been getting several reports of sound-related problems causing crashes, etc.
Let us know how it works out once you've gotten your drivers up to date. ____________________________ I break things.
