I have been playing eve for almost two years and I have to say CCP for all the grief they get, seems to try and make a stable platform for all of us who play eve. With minor exceptions like the Title "Item Damaged unable to complete contract..." these are the little things that could be easily be corrected with the next patch...How about instead of "Item Damaged unable to complete contract..." the follow or something like it popped instead "Item "..........." is damaged and the recipient of this contract may not accept do you still want to create contract" I only bring this up because every time I move in eve I have mining crystal's and such which I try to contract to my alt or m8ts to move and "Item Damaged unable to complete contract..." it is madness which brings me to my last point could the contract skill besides allowing you to create more contracts also allow you to contract more items instead of being limited to just a mere 100...how about for every level you could contract 100 or even 50 items more..how cool would that be
Well may be when this post hits 20 pages lol...CCP will take note and take a look at the suggestions above
Respectful Yours,
KineticOne

Also on the Right Click->Repackage, it would be nice to have Item xxx is damaged, please repair item before repackaging.
And possibly continuing the repack to items selected after the damaged item.

So true bro, I believe that CCP should have at least two patches a year which correct minor annoy bugs such as these :)

Agreed. RABBLE!!!!! rabble rabble rabble rabble rabble rabble
but being serious, many parts of the game, including the contract system, are obsolete and need to be updated due to changes in the game. This "feature" of not creating a contract because of an item being damaged just make things nearly impossible to work with in 0.0 due to constant changing battle lines.
If I am not mistaken, this inability to make contracts because of damaged items has been around since the game began, and that was before the better market system. Things have changed and with them, old systems are no longer necessary and no one will complain (I don't think) about updating them as what Kinetic proposes.
NOTE: I am not promoting Kinetic's post because he is holding my stuff I contracted to him to move hostage. ....Just kidding!!

Nothing more annoying when you're trying to contract multiple items (and i'm talking 100 a time) since thats all you can contract up to, and you get a constant stream of stupid messages like "the item is damaged" or "you've met your limit of 100". WHY not tell you BEFORE you enter all the information such as who its for, or what you're sending. The contract system is rediculously buggy at times, it needs sorting. Either tell you before you begin entering your information in, or find a way around the problems like what you said about alerting you that an item is damaged. It isn't like people will petition it because they accepted it. A message IS given to them... and as for crystals, well. No comment... another stupid issue.

I fully support this. It's very annoying. It gets even worse if you have a container 50 jumps out, and know something important is in it, and you can't contract the container to your alt since it has an used mining crystal in it.

I don't believe I said it was there when the game first started... only you bring something out, it will naturally have bugs which need fixing. At least do something about it...

It is a covert nerf to amarr. Can't contract uses t2 crystals.

I don't believe this is a nerf but rather an needle in the haystack of eve that could be easily corrected in a patch.

If they allow damaged items, then they would need to be flagged as such. With a filter to remove them.
IIRC the reasoning is it prevents scams where you pay full price for a ship/module with 1pt left on it.

The original Escrow system would allow you to sell damaged stuff. My guess it was changed because too many players were selling ships with only a tiny amount of structure left. The buyer had no idea until they actually bought it and the repair bill worked out costing almost as much as the price of a new ship.
I think to allow contracting goods betwen players that may be damaged like crystals etc, the item should have a DAMAGED! tag splashed across it to warn the recipient. That allows you to contract stuff to your corpmate to bring to your location for you but ensures that the old escrow scams can't be continued.
