I have been hunting around and trying to find out the cost of the pass to fanfest, as I saw that it isn't included with the price of the flights and hotel that Icelandair are offering.
I had a hunt about and couldn't even find out how much the passes were in previous years. Anyone either able to tell me how much they were last year, or where to find the info for this year?
Depending on the cost of the Pass, I should hopefully see a lot of you there!

I'm just as much in the dark as you are about this year's price, but at least I managed to find this in my mailbox:
Name: Price: Qty: Total: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ EVE FanFest 2007 Access Pass $ 65 1 $ 65 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Total: 1 $ 65 Got that April 13th, so they're definitely rather late this year... Come on CCP, don't you want my money?!

Wow, if they went on sale as early as that last year, then they really are a bit behind.
The sooner they announce the details the better, as that way, I know how much overtime I need to do and can book in for it, also, it would be nice to get my flights and hotel booked before they sell out, or the early bird deals expire.

Edited by: defiler on 17/06/2008 07:00:21 Well, there's nothing stopping you from making your travel arrangements now (already made mine). Ofc, as this will be your first fanfest you'll want more details, but personally I'll do the same as last year - arriving on Wednesday and staying until Monday.
If the schedule is similar to last year's then the Thursday stuff will be fairly low-key; registration, some presentations in the afternoon and then some event in the evening (Blue Lagoon?) - so depending on when your flight lands, arriving on Thursday might be an option for you, or you could skip that day entirely. However, if you can afford it I recommend getting there a day early. If nothing else, there'll be time to scout the area and get some rest (and giving me an excuse to take the whole week off from work ).
Returning home on Sunday morning should not be an option if you intend to have fun at the Saturday party. I'd be moderately excited about getting on a plane at the crack* of dawn (actually, before dawn) just as the hangover starts to kick in and then drive home (taking hours). Better to stay and sleep it off and perhaps spend the afternoon seeing the sights...
Naturally, this is just my personal opinion/experience and it shouldn't be taken seriously in any way. Still, I recommend playing it safe if your budget allows some extra time away and/or wait until we hear more from CCP about the matter.

It is crazy, for me to stay from Thursday to Thursday (they only fly to Glasgow on Mondays and Thursdays) It costs me about ú6 more. Staying in the same hotel and flying with Icelandair, there is no way that is right.
So, I am booking up this evening, would be criminal not to I guess.
