Hey guys, got a mail from my R&D agent a little while ago, where he said this:

Our research has been fruitful, but I've encountered a snag and our research has been halted. Please contact me as soon as possible.
I went to visit him and he had nothing to say. Only options was to either run mission for him, or to chose to stop/move the research. I decided to run a mission and bought one datacore, going to see if he starts to give me RP again, but until then -
Anyone happen to know why this happened? Is there some "limit" of how much RP you can store on an agent before you have to spend it? If so, how can I check how much that is? Any other reasons to why he might have stopped working? (problems with the union? If so, who am I supposed to bribe..).

The work was NOT halted. You can ignore those mails.
Its his way of saying: "I exist, come run a mission from me."
I have gotten 100s of those mails over the years, and ignored all of them, with no ill effect.
Having said that, if you do his missions, you get a bonus to your RPs for that day. But there is NO penality for ignoring him.
Play nice while you butcher each other.

Awsome, thanks! Was kinda figuring it'd be that way, and the bonus.. I noticed that after running his mission. I'll leave him alone to rot in that godforsaken station from now on..

sidequestion how much money do you get from a lvl 4 agent per day ?

An additional note here, is that missions from an R&D agent do count towards to whether you get a storyline mission or not.
If you would do 15 "give me attention!" missions for your R&D agent in a row, then you would get a storyline mission. |

Alot of different factors to count in. Quality of agent. Amount of research points (RP) you get per day. Your own skills (what agents you can use, if you can use more than one). Then the current market value of the specific datacore has to be factored in, etc.
