Never met you in real life (where ever that is) or in game, but if you've got more support than most CSM members then you can't be that bad.
I don't know if you really want to go to college, but if you do, the only way to get over your fears, is to accept that your scared and do it anyway.
You don't really have much to lose, even if things go pear shaped, you'll still have the experience of having tried and failed, rather than never trying at all.
I'll be joining FW soon and hope to make it in to a fleet or three with you.
Take it easy, chill out and enjoy.

This. After season two, outside of a very few episodes, BSG was terrible.
Final season or two of SG-1 = shark jumping competition.

God people are picky about seasons three and four. Fact is, BSG is still the best drama on television. Only show I've liked more in recent years is Arrested Development.

I still have you in my buddy list from 5 years back, when you & kaelor and commissar gaunt and others joined up for "the legion".. to get our revenge on evil m0o, haha. we didn't accomplish much but I'll always remember the ambitious spirit we all had then. hope to fly with you again sometime

Done. Last night.
99% people turn up in Destroyers, Caracals etc. One guy has a Ferox, another a Raven. Daniel doesn't like Battleships. Wanted much ewar so I switch from my Taranis into a Falcon and head to the meeting point where we idle, just like in 0.0, until everyone fits civ gat guns.
Then off we go into lo-sec. Daniel is the scout an we wander 8-9 jumps into Gallente space. Not much to see - just the odd Vaga and shuttles.
We stop in a system and he wanders back a jump and is scanning to find a plex. He wants to create a squad for plex scanners and gets a bit excited that we don't all x up immediately. Someone finds something. He then says that he'd like us all to split up into teams of about 10 to cover every system but still be available to help each other, but would prefer 50 not the 20 or so we were.
The gang is split between two systems. WT start to appear - Astarte, multiple rapiers, and the like so we're told to jump through to his system and "Warp to me in the plex... I like fighting in the plexes". Err... ok... I've gone to a planet. "Anyone at the accel gate" I ask... silence... so I warp there anyway. Astarte sitting there but he's nice and lets me warp back out to a safe without locking me.
Then... "theres a WT in here... he cloaked... get ready..."
"Everyone in destroyers shoot the drones, everyone else concentrate on the primary"
[Who is the primary? Discussion about who the primary is ensues.]
"I'm dead" say multiple people.
"We scared them off... they're leaving system". Err... ok. I'd have loved to be on their TS/voice.
Then because a lot of the chars are inexperienced they've no idea what to do so they're looking to buy a ship but the closest ones are in highsec gal space. DT says to go buy them, sort by region, then go get them. A few of us laugh about how people going into highsec will pop as they undock. "They should be experienced then... I want people in griffins or katsunes".
Total shambles. Multiple funny statements about how everyone should know exactly what they are doing, how they should only shoot the primary but when asked about who the primary is are told to shoot "a rapier" not "primary is foobarxXx" and the explanation is that he doesn't see the names of the characters, just the ship types because he's too busy. Yet then has a go because we don't see broadcasts?!
[In this wall of text I just ended up in a safe cloaked... I'm not going to waste a ship when the FC is obviously clueless]
Suffice to say I won't be flying Daniel class again. It's obvious why he's the number 1 plex runner - he just gets a gang of caldari noobs together and uses them as cannon fodder. No training for the poor folks, no real leadership, "I do things my way, not everyone elses way" but then doesn't explain what his way is and what his expectations are.

Not true. Daniel very often mentions that his gangs are PvE only and if PvP happens, it will be only of defensive nature. I don't like that, as I'm up for PvP, so I flew with his gangs once and never again.
But you still have to respect this way, as he's not promising you awesome, glory PvP fights. Instead he stands for the PvE plex taking hardcore aspect in FW and caldari militia. A role that is as much needed in FW as the experienced PvP fleet leaders (of which the most successful only run their own, corpinternal gangs anyways).
So talking about teaching pvp newbs.. have you ever made and lead a training gang for that purpose?

Sensible FC would look at the ships he had before leaving whatever system and go "don't need a Raven, Ferox, ibis" etc. Would also advertise as "gang pve" not like this:

I used to think that the Calamari were just shirking pvp. I didnt realise how bad your FCs were. Im actually feeling pretty sorry for you guys atm

Last night was my first day with the Calduri; I'm hoping to see what other FCs there are... either that or I'll just re-join my old 0.0 corps Moanamatar FW corp and kill Calduri's...

Posted exactly what I was going to post. I have an alt in the Caldari FW, just to see how it works and for the lulz. My alt has been a member of gangs ran by Daniel Jackson, and he isn't as "dumb" or as "stupid" or as "moronic" as he makes out on the forums.
Now that I think about it, the joke is on you guys who are mouthing off; you're all victims of an elaborate troll. Just showing your class on here by slamming a guy you have never met, tbh.

Blew him up twice this evening... he's not the greatest pilot and his fitting left a lot to be desired. Although, he didn't smack us afterwards so that puts him ahead of most EVE players. |

I been doing FW for about 10 days. Flown with DJ capping a couple of plexes.
I didn't fully understand how the whole "contested system" thing worked, and he clearly explained it all to me.
He loses a lot of ships, but he also caps a lot of plexes and he is careful to use cheap ships, so overall the ISK loss compared to the victory points gained is well-balanced.
Can't find anything negative to say about the guy. He's a dedicated FW player and he is patient and friendly.
