Along with loyal Amarrians everywhere, we in PIE have been following with great interest the recent news regarding the return of Jamyl Sarum.
Now that the leaders of Houses Ardishapur, Kador, Kor-Azor and Tash-Murkon and the Theology Council have signalled that they will be happy to support Jamyl Sarum as Empress, we feel that now is the time to announce that we will accept her as Empress and swear fealty to her upon her legal coronation.
The need for a strong ruler has never been greater, and we are sure that Lady Jamyl has the ability and talent to be that leader.

Wow, I did not know that pie was so important that the empire needed thier approval on who was to be emperor. That is pretty impressive.

A biologist friend of mine was telling me the other day that many small animals puff themselves up to make themselves look more threatening when they're confronted by a larger, more powerful predator.
For some reason, the remarks of the Minmatar terrorists in this thread reminded me of that discussion.

And never did it cross your mind that this metaphor could apply to, say, the Amarrians?
Truly, Rodj, it seems that every time you open your mouth, you play right into my jabs about your senility. The truly tragic thing, however, is that it seems you don't do it on purpose. -----

Needless to say I of course can not accept Jamyl Sarum as Empress. The only solution would be she abandons the throne in favour to His Majesty King Khanid II. It is also needless to say I assume this will not happen.

You wonder why everytime he speaks he walks into your jabs? Its because you simply replace the word minmatar with amarrian, turn it around and then believe you've said something interesting and new, before then once again calling him senile. It's the same everytime and it actully makes you sound more like a 6 year gallentian boy copying his mother.
We can tell what you will say before you even reply, so do yourself a favour and stop it, untill you have something new to say.

And so thousands of years of tradition and the laws of your religion are thrown out in an instant all because of one victorious battle. You Amarrian loyalists have always claimed that your religion is your strength yet you cast it aside with barely a thought. For your sakes I hope your god agrees with your choices for I hear he's vengeful when angered.

Please, be fair here. The Moral Reforms are but a single thousand years old. So technically, they have only thrown out centuries worth of tradition. They threw out the thousands of years of tradition when they embraced the Moral Reforms and swore an infernal oath of loyalty to their precious Council. They were already damned, now even more so. You see, no statements were forthcoming until such time as the Council stated they approve of the Heirs nomination of Sarum. It is very clear where the loyalty of some lay û surely not with tradition and definitely not with Lord God, but instead, with the institutions which secretly manipulate the Empire and fill their coffers with ISK! We serve the Divine, not the transient flesh of mortal men!
This is not the way of Lord God! In a century or two, whenever the Theology Council deems there is a need for change in our society, sadly there will be disgusting revisionists who shroud the vile changes in a blasphemous mantle of pseudo-faith. This heresy of a heresy is laughable! There was the opportunity for some redemption; there was the opportunity to remain true to personal conviction; there was an opportunity to stand up to the Council. The path of damnation some have walked is now complete and final. Each time you turn away from tradition you wander farther and farther away from Lord God û pretend no more your false devotion, your fake piety, and your hypocritical, self-promoting sermons. Lord God has no use for fickle charlatans who change their core-beliefs as often as a Gallente changes her hairstyle.
I am disgusted by the duplicity of this statement in contrast to recent lectures by the blaggarts on His Majesty King Khanid II's legitimate claim to the Throne. Lady Sarum is of good stock. None in the Kingdom question her bloodline, command ability, or desire to see a stronger Empire. She very well can prove to be a good leader. A leader, however, is only as good as their followers. I do not expect much if this statement is anything representative of the Liberalist Bloc.
Let these recent events serve as an enlightenment to the True Believers who lay idle and silent in each paramilitary -- it is time to rise up and dispose of the Councilites and restore the power to the appointed of the Divine, those who have preserved the Scripture for ten millennia, the Apostles. The choice is yours -- followed the damned into damnation or seek the path redemption by returning to the tenants of our Faith. |

You're surprised, Gaius? Amarr is a nation of backstabbers. Look at how many families, splinter cults and corpulent nobodies with a grudge there are in the Empire. The Khanid Kingdom was inevitable - if it wasn't the Khanid, perhaps it would be the Kor-Azor Kingdom, or maybe even the Kador Kingdom. It was absolutely inevitable that at some point a failed heir would decide this whole "faith" thing wasn't worth dying for, take a bunch of the stuff the Empire gave him (you know, the Royal Houses do have a ridiculous ammount of assets) and start his own gig.
It just so happens that when you give an unqualified person a lot of money and power, a title and a supposed "divine mandate" it's going to go to their head - see PIE Inc., for example. -----

It is my sincere wish that this new leader of the empire, Jamyl Sarum, will act with wisdom and will usher in a new era, one where the number of the empire's enemies is greatly reduced, by declaring slavery to be outlawed throughout the empire.

Fat chance you get an Amarr in any position of authority that has even remotely that ammount of humanity or intelligence. The humane, intelligent ones are filtered out of the selection process - see Artico Kor-Azor. -----
