What the heck is wrong with eve-files? Both from home and work everything times out! For over a week! But I see people using it!
Just where is this website located?

Feel free to do a trace to eve-files.com and provide me with the results, I have recently been hit by a wave of Chinese bots forcing me to block off certain subnets. You may have ended up amongst them.
So if you are located in any asian IP-range feel free to drop me a mail at support (at) eve-files.com and I'll sort it out.

I had this problem too, fixed by using Free Download Manager (thanks for the advice chribba)

On a somewhat related note, a lot of times downloads halt halfway, restarting them sometiems works, sometimes it doesn't. I use IE and had the problem with noth XP as now Vista 64. After starting to use a DL manager all problems are solved.
It's not consistent though.
