Have you guys ever considered having high resolution planets as an optional addon?
Example from a game called X3: Reunion
Many times I simply autopilot because the scenery is so boring! I think it would make EVE even more beautiful with an optional High Resolution (1024x1024, 2048x2048, 2048x4096 or larger) heavenly body texture package for those of us with machines that can handle it. Just as you have the optional Premium Graphics Content, well how bout creating an optional High Detail Heavenly Bodies package? This could include high resolution planets, moons, asteroids, and other things I probably haven't discovered. And for the planets, I'd like to also suggest not just having a high resolution texture, but also having moving cloud formations.

From what I understand, they are indeed working on making planets, asteroids, space backgrounds, etc., into high quality versions as they did with ships in Trinity.
