Dissappointing they chose to render it so much, they used to take pride in unrendered Trailers.
And thats some creative license taken on the Abbadon.
Yes it does look very nice, but how long until the trailers stop all likness with the actual game itself?
The best trailers are the ones which start with "all graphics are from actual gameplay" and looks awesome/amazing.
It was a very shiny video, but too shiny. My Abba doesn't have a 'WTFBBQ MINMATAR SCUM' button, and my graphics will never look that good.
Visual Quality 10/10
Consistency with Game 2/10 (well there were space ships, floating in space)

We all know that a Titan need a lots of energy to be online and work properly....a tons of energy.
Shoot it directly a powerfull surchage of electromagnatic beam and it gonna enter in a kind of chain reaction and AOE all the other ships arounds....Boom!
THis beam + titan target = uber surchage x other caps around become surchage by this = Doomdays of electricty.
other question?

Really disappointing video. Sorry, I have to be honest. I thought the teaser trailers were actually more interesting in that it gave that "live at the scene" and yet unrehersed reporting feel.
You have one of the graphically best looking games out there, and you go with a really fake looking rendering at the end shooting electricity balls and single-shotting a titan so that it looks like the last scene out of Raiders of the Lost Ark (why not make the ships melt in a wax-like manner and have ghosts fly around)?
I felt like it was trying to capture the excitement and feel of the No Other Destiny video (burning Raven flyby ftw) with the voice actor (same guy - sounded slighly different) and the war-ness of the Revelations trailer, but just failed so horribly in the last scene that I actually laughed.

It looked awesome.
But the moment I saw the Abaddon use that super weapon, I wanted to punch a hole through my laptop.
Seriously, I know you(CCP) did it because it looks cool for new people, but it is just makes no freaking sense.

It might make storyline sense, supposing this long "dead" amarr leader went and got herself some jove tech. Though, I have to agree that its very misleading to new or would-be players.

Crap. Crap and Double Crap.
USE IN GAME FOOTAGE FFS!
Otherwise you get the situation with some current films where TRAILER > ACTUAL FILM (or in this case GAME)
We don't need stupid special effects or artifical battle scenes made by people who don't know the game. EvE used to be good enough to sell itself without such unnecessary spin.
EVE NEVER FADES > ALL OTHER TRAILERS IMO - that one was just pure winsauce!

erm, i think some of you are confused,
Its a Trailer for The Book the Empyrean Age,
its not for the patch,
personally I rather have a Trailer for the Game than a book,
any traction that viewers of the trailer will surely be dissapointed that no such weapon exists, nor is it attainable in game,
alot of smoke and mirrors, I cant not think that its false advertising, anyway,

Actually I found the first two trailers not bad but below average for eve... the third is off the scale! :D
Pitty that they dropped the in-game sceneries... :P that is something maybe they have in coding but could not fix it in time for the video release...
Ps: If that is not a render but Trinity2 with dx10 then I better start counting my pennies... I will need them ... every one of them... for my new PC! :D
edit: if someone could read the book, please help us out at what that remote-emp-doomsday - a.k.a.: I-win-button really is

The super-weapon is supposed to be a form of terran technology(weapon from before the collapse of the eve gate) and was found near the eve gate by Jamyl Sarum.
Its meant to reverse an enemy ships sheilds, causing them to repell the ships own hull and armor, crushing the ship within itself. it also nearly destroyed the abbadon that used it and is highly unstable so i dont think its ready for the market
