Now i dont claim to know exactly how many corporations are in each of these regional alliances but if i were a betting person id say 20-30. So lets say 25 corporations in each alliance, that is 75 corporations with just three regional alliances, without the other corporations i just listed... lets say each of these corporations has between 30-100 members (50 for arguements sake, yes i know not all corps have 50 active members)
75 * 50 = 3750 7 * 50 = 350 = 4100
That is atleast 60-70% of the 0.0 population of eve. Somewhat screwy numbers i know, but its just to show you a rough guide. No-matter what, take 500 each way and you have the amount of people attacking CA.

CA is, at this very moment in time, suffering from what SA suffered from just before Castors introduction; an influx of large mining corporations followed by a general feeling of "boredom" by most of its fighting force.
This resulted in a very strained period where SA could only defend instead of attack.
So while CA are still a v. large force they seem to have lost quite a number of their better pvp corporations (no-one can tell me CA aren't missing the excellent fighting abilities of ATUK).
Regardless of it all, you have to respect CA for coping under extreme pressure from a lot of very very good fighters but despite the losses you can hardly expect a month or so of pressure to take down an alliance as big as CA, can you?

My post was an informative one, not making excuses.
I admit that in the past we were under pressure and people did start to feel it, but everyone should atleast have the balls to admit CA is now ontop of everything, we are defending our space, while leading major attacks into Stain, while making m0o stay docked almost 90% of the time.
I dont make excuses, i dont see the need to, we are here, and we are staying.

Actually, it's not, provided specific conditions are rigorously met. Read the EULA.

In most cases it is illegal. You are not allowed to profit through the sale of CCP's intellectual property unless they give you permission to do so. Some have tried to get around this by saying that you are selling the time spent to acquire XXX items or to build up said account.
Admittedly this is somewhat of a legal grey area, but generally speaking the sale of an account and the items in it that you do not own (in as much as they represent CCP's intellectual property) but rather are renting is illegal.
It is however quite certainly legal to give away accounts.

Did you actually bother to read the EULA before posting and shouting your mouth off? I have and it doesn't say anything about it being "illegal" to sell or buy an account.

Edited by: Baun on 16/05/2004 04:43:45 My comment was based on the general illegality of account sales in MMOs. As I have no interest in purchasing or selling an account I have not read that part of the EULA. If the stipulations contained therein made the type of purchase Tobruk made legal (i.e if he had never before or never thereafter purchased anything other than accounts), then I retract that part of my previous statement.
In any case, illegal or not, its highly lame.

Yes it does. All EVE content is direct property of CCP, your account is the direct property of CCP. Selling your account is in essence making money off their property without their permission, which is (surprise!) illegal.
People try to get around this by saying they're not actually selling the account and the 'property' it holds, but rather the time they invested. Whether or not THIS is legal I don't know.

After he posted that I went and checked it out.
It doesn't EXPLICITLY say (as far as I could tell) that you cannot sell your account as long as you follow the guidelines, but in leaving this open, through use of the vague word "transfer", it seems to delve into a grey area wherein they do not make it clear whether sales of accounts are permitted.
As mentioned, however, none of this changes how cheesy purchasing an account is.

Trolling, flaming, and the discussion of 3rd party auction sites are not allowed. Considering that this thread is mainly made up of all 3, and has gotten horribly off-topic aswell..
Im going to have to put it down
