Once you are in the area you are intending to ninja mine, set a destination for auto-pilot. This way you only need to hit the auto pilot button instead of fumbling around the bookmark screen to get away before the warp dissaptors hit you.
I'm sure a lot of people have done this already - but I just thought of it for myself and it makes ninja mining a lot safer. I lost two ships last week being to slow to warp away before the pirates blocked my warp drive.

Also, if you are ninja mining a good clone and ship insurance are desirable things. :P
Maybe three or four afterburners for a quick non warp get away if you don't get that locked up too. Stellar Products and Quality Resources ticker: SPQR established 6-03

Hey, that's not really true.
I found some belts with bistot, and some VERY hard pirates.. the kind that would insta-lock and kill you in a couple of shots after jamming you.
This was back when I was in an Imicus for mining.
I made millions mining that belt, always warping-out when the evildoers warped-in. Never so much as got locked.
The bookmark idea is a good one, saves valuable time that can save your hide.

Hi,
poor ninjas.
I thought they fixed that exploit in 1077?

Thank you for restoring my faith in the general stupidity of humanity Molly.
Its easy once you get the hang of it, but remember, speed is more important than cargo.

Exploit?
They are not exploiting. They are doing a very risky thing and profiting from it. I'd say they are pretty smart, and playing the game one of the ways it's meant to be played.

Hi,
calm down.
They are exploiting the defence of the pirates. Yeah and it's a heroic act: an exploit.
That for sure.
And it has been addressed in the last patch.
That's all what I asked.
I suggest you guys buy some social skills and level them up before you start flaming.
Or maybe you just need an english dictionary to look up the noun and verb exploit.
Nevermind, sorry for asking questions. Will never do it again.
Bye...

Please, show me any documentation that says solo mining of high value ore in any system is an exploit.
So far being a pirate makes people griefers, and now ninja mining makes people exploiters. You're full of great ideas aren't you Molly?

Molly - ur a moron.
ITs by no means an exploit, u can still lose your ship in doing it, when the pirates respawn...
anyways complaining about something that assited newer players a bit is quite arguably the most stupid thing to do.
I myself don't ninja mine anymore, but it certainly helped early on, esp if ur playing solo.
Anyways your an idiot... kthxbye.

Hi,
I didn't whine about people doing it. I just asked if it is still possible.
To trick the pirates is exploiting their defence, but not exploiting the game in a cheating manner.
And yes, it's a risk. Thats why I called it a heroic act. Thats also the meaning of the noun exploit.
Maybe you try to read my posts again and ask you who the griefer, idiot, moron and so on is.
Meanwhile eod.

Molly-Don't use that definition of exploit here, noone thinks of it in that manner. It will cause many mis-communications like the one here.

Hi,
yeah, I just realized how belligerent some people are.
Maybe it's safer not to chat and/or write posts.

Molly, before u even started to post, they were talking about warping into a belt, where no pirates were... and the moment the pirates came, u warp away asap... what u mean, or refer to as "exploit", is the badly formed belts where there is 200km between point to point... so u could just sit and mine a bistot rock down for 1000 units, and haul afterwards... and there could be 6x 60k cruisers defending the belt, but only in a 20km radios of the "belt marker"... i dont know how this is an exploit... the only thing is a way too big belt, and a way too little aggression range from the pirates..
