Was watching a video on youtube lastnight (lost the link). It showed a guy hovering his mouse over a distant locked target, and having the reticule increase in size slightly and the reticule contained a magnified image of the faraway ship. Anyone know how to do this?
Also, how do i move my target status boxes around? Rather than showing up right to left at the top of the screen, i'd prefer them elsewhere... :P

Camera: Hold your right mouse key and point it in the direction you want to zoom in. Now hold the left mouse key, and move it forward/backward to create the zoom in/out effect.
Target boxes: Look closely around the top right corner of the screen, there's a nearly invisible crosshair that when dragged around, will cause the target boxes to move with it.

IBX (in before Xaen :D )
Used to be able to get the magnifier box by holding down like Control or Alt or something (can't remember). Pretty useless, really.
You can move the target status boxes by clicking and dragging the small (and very hard to see) drag reticule. It'll be near the target boxes, usually nearer to the edge/corner of the screen that the target boxes are closest to. Hard to explain without a screen, but I'm at work so I can't take one. :)
Look closely though, and it might be behind your overview windows. Unpin and minimize them and you'll probably see it.

thanks for the speedy answers guys...
can't find the zoom thing i'm looking for :(
But the targets are not moved, was hoping for a little more customization than it offers, but still better than it was... :P
thanks again, and if anyone knows about the zoomed reticule, let me know :)

Wait... why didn't they move? Moving that reticle around should shift them around a lot. I did notice you can only move them in a way that they are clearly nowhere near another element of the UI like the overview or the throttle donut. Otherwise they can go wherever.

yeah... used to be you could hold down ctrl-alt and after about a second, you'd get a small local zoom window. pressing the mouse-button would enhanced that window's graphics.
as for the target windows. as winterblink says, as long as you unpin the reticle, you should be able to do a lot more moving-around.

Indeed, you can even make the list vertical with the right positioning.
