COMM4NDER Umbrella Holding Inc Umbrella Chemical Inc 71	Posted - 2012.03.13 08:17:00 - [1] - Quote So it seems that the EVE Launcher breaks the client for Wine users trying to start eve.exe gives me no output at al just crashes while running Exefile.exe gives me a c++ runtime error. Ravow from the Linux channel also in forums did some digging and got the crash pointing to manifest file. He will hopefully fill the details into this post asap. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/ms235560(v=vs.80).aspx But at it seems now with patch 1.5 Linux users won't be able to play. With or without fix trying to start repair.exe gives the very same c++ runtime error. Unfortunately i can't check whether or not the client works under windows.

After updating my wine from 1.2.3 to 1.3.xxx (something) Van Brum's solution is working like a charm. Nice job :)

I had the same python27 problem, the solution here solved my problem: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=81230&find=unread Basically use: msvcr10 (native, builtin) msvcr80 (native, builtin) msvcr90 (native, builtin) to install the patch, and: msvcr100 (builtin, native) msvcr80 (builtin, native) msvcr90 (builtin, native) to play.
