Conservation of mass! Giant secure containers can fit more than their mass. U can reprocess ore and get more m3 from trit than in its original ore form! O noes a game is not 100% correct with science!
qq omg how?!
i demand my money back right now.

I think of it as effecient packing...
IE: you are moving your stuff from your house to your new house...
you can have every applicance in their original box and foam and stuff...
which takes up ALOT of space...
or you can just bubble wrap stuff and play tetrus with it =P
and save alot of space =P
the real physics question is: ... why do we decelerate when we turn off our engines in space *why is there a max velocity??

Not even remotely funny. When trolling:
1) Try to know what an item actually does. 2) Try to know what you're talking about actually means. (You must have gotten pretty bad grades in physics) _________
Someday, EVE may look like this. |

IF they did space travel would be very damn boring. Every action requires an opposite action so...
Also STL can't be broken but our ships do it just running from station to station.
I think of eve more on the submarine physics really. A galaxy of water

When you order the ship to stop, the navigation computer automatically fires off the auxiliary thrusters to stop the ship, just as you ordered.

within a certain distance of a star your warp core causes our ship to be slightly dragged in twards the sun though this is compensated for by impulse engines, thus when you decrease power to your engine then the gravitational drag causes your ship to slow down alot

max velocity in space == delta v an engine can only accelerate to a certain velocity due to the fact that the faster the object is moving the more energy it requires to accelerate furthur

Relative...
P.s. No it doesn't need MORE energy, rather over time it needs more, but not a bigger output. ----------------------------

hi guys
i'm pretty sure that the noises that the lasers make in space are too high pitched
considering the mathematical models i've seen
also i don't think deadspace pockets would really exist
i mean i get why they're there for gameplay reasons
but give us a better plot reason for them ok?

Deadspace pockets are a pirate conspiracy. The "pockets" are actually dampening fields projected by cloaked "deadspace generators." That is why the pirates are unaffected.
