Off to LA county to go look at housing, I'll try to find internet but if I can't you'll all have to try to manage without me for 3 days...

Actually you can get an ok house in cali for 300K, though it'll be in a "rough" neighborhood  (Lived in Detroid for 6 years thank you)
Plus I get tons of help from the govt which I love with all my heart.... no downpayment helps a ton

They took my Kevlar when they made me leave! 
I'll probably be renting for about 6 months first while I recon the area, and Rhode Island? Doesn't it snow there?

I payed about under 200 for mine and my neighborhood consists of about a dozen houses plus I got 10 acres to boot.

$300k (ú150k) is pretty cheap, all things considered. Round my way that'd get you maybe a 2 bed semi with a 9¦foot garden in a crappy neighbourhood. In London...maybe a 1 room studio flat above a McDonalds.

Well yeah, but if enough people don't buy stuff then the house market will crash in to the floor, and then I'll be able to afford one. I think I'd like one that's been repossessed off of some sort of banker. The tears will make it feel more homely.

South Central Va for the win. With in 4 hours you have just about anything you can think of to do. Surfing, snowboarding, hicking, camping, mountian bicking, hunting, whitewater rafting, and boco history. Forget about what you have with in 6 hours.

If you have the cash now or within the next 8 or so months is the time to buy. Remember, not only in EVE is it good to buy low and sell high. Find a forclosure and you potentially may make a pretty hefty profit.
