I was just wondering how long the application takes to arrive or to be registered. Am only asking because I have already sent an application but am not sure if it has been received, or if I have been rejected. I really want to be a volunteer
ps: this is my alt character cos i'm not sure if or how ppl knowing my real character might affect the decisions made..

When we receive an application, all people able to view it get an e-mail. It might take a while to get back to you, because of either the number of applications or if we didn't get that e-mail.
I'll forward this thread to the people responsible for recruitment

there was another question I have about the polaris prog i didn't find anything about. when one becomes an ISD.. it says on http://www.eve-online.com/faq/faq_10.asp under 10.4 that ISDs will have little or no ingame abilities.. does that mean if my main character were to be the one changed i would be able to do hardly anything at all, or that ISDs can't do anything normal players can't do? .. am just a little confused.. would i have to start another character or account to use for the ISD character?
anyways thanks again guys

My guess is that:
A: You receive a unique account, only for your Polaris Character.
B: You can have the Polars Character as an ALT on your main account.
In Anarchy Online, they gave me a separate account with only my ARK (Advisors Of Rubi-Ka) character on. I bet that is what they do in EVE to !

When you get an ISD character, it is on a unique new account. This leaves your main to do whatever you wish with .
With regards to "not having any ingame abilities", particular departments of ISD have no need to be ingame - e.g. you will very very rarely see the CRC Department (Forum Mods), ingame, because we have no reason to .

correct, if you would get accepted into the program you will be given a special vol account that will be locked up deep into the dungeons of the polaris station

you do know special powers are not to be used for any personal gain whatsoever. if you do use it that way youll get kicked from isd or even banned --- "this song reminds me of the girl i met on a schooltrip, she was really nice, and she really liked me. I forgot to ask her her phone number" - Nelix trist OMG im a pretzel!!! |
