Is there a setting/external fix to reduce the 100% GPU capacity issue at stations?
Setting a high interval reduces FPS, but my GPU still goes nuts. That's currently a waste of energy and heavy hardware wearout. 
WinXP SP2, 8800GTS

My card is getting insanely hot at stations.More than 20c more than normal...

I tried to use the linux client, but realized that it is not a native client, so the problems should be there as well, I guess.
It is just plain stupid that an image of a ship needs 200+ fps and a crying GPU like Crysis is running on Ultra High...
Trying now to use some non-oc tuning tools, but EVE ignores most of them...

even crysis didnt make the card going crazy like this.
even with classic client end static station background its heating up...
not as much as with premium but still more than normal, and classic really doesnt look as it would need that much GPU power

why dont you put it so you dont load the station enviroment ?

as i already posted i'm running the classic client right now without station environment but it doenst help that much.it still heats up like crazy....
wanna play with premium graphics without killing my gfx card >.<

This has absolutely no effect on GPU capacity.
@Jaina
For highend GPUs, it does not matter, if you play classic or premium.

Definitely a strange issue. Doesn't happen to me, though. Have you tried to update your drivers? If so, try getting the future mark approved drivers and see if that helps.
I'm running an 8800GTS 512MB with 169.21 drivers

Have you tested the core temp after being 2-3min in a station? I don't think that this is a driver issue, because I have it on four entirely different systems, but the WinXP SP2/8800GTS is my main system.
