A few weeks ago I started up the game and the most recent patch was downloaded and installed automatically as advertised. But after patching with no errors I enter the game and DO NOT get the large portraits when I veiw a players info. Also I have lost players portraits when they log on and off (buddies) as well as several pictures such as drones and some ships.
Is there a fix for this?
and yes I have tried clearing the cache.

I just posted the same problem yesterday, I have yet to have a fourm responce. I wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this issue. Below is my origional post...
DonÆt feel like bugging support until IÆve exhausted us forum nerds.
Problem just started... When I Info someone I donÆt generate there pic. The little Chat photo generates, but there large "MugShot" does not display. All I get is a Giant black window.
So I wiped my cash, now MY characters wont generate!? Any who, if anyone else has a fix let me know, I have tried multiple gfx settings.
1.4Ghz 640MB Radeon 9000le (yes I had the Drv issues, running 4.1) XPpro, Dx 9.0b, Lot of other Computer Crap, and more computer crap, Did I mention that I bought dual monitors for this game and a week after I got the other mon, they updated and took the option for duals out? LOL

Well just for giggles I tried to reinstall the game to see if that would fix the prob but no luck. I did not go into the game directory(folder) in windows and check to see if all was deleted when I uninstalled the game prior to reinstalling.

Do any of you guys have problems when capturing a portait. Half of the portraits i capture have one eye darked or missing for some reason. Its freaky, but then again some do just fine. What gives???? Not to mention my character pic won't even show up on here. Why is that? Lil help here please! |

Same problem here, it has accourred to me after the installing of the last patch and affect some ship pictures and equipment. I've cleared the cache.. Ive reinstalled my eve client but no joy.
Any suggestion???

Hey SaH TohRI, this is off subject but how do you get a replica of your character on your sig like that? Cause im new to this posting stuff.

When the last major patch came out, I was stuck for 2 days unable to play becuase EVE had previously cached all the item pictures.
After deleting the cache (should always be first action undertaken before screaming for help imo), EVE had to re-download all the item pictures.
Some of the ones I had before are now missing
e.g. Hammerhead Light Drone, Infiltrator Medium Drone & Preator Heavy Drone is just a black square, Punisher Frigate is a solid Grey box.
As for missing eyes, clothes and hair, I seem to remember reading a response from a GM that this was a server rendering problem that they are aware of.

Ahhh. Thanks for the info Twiagon. Well at least we know that CCP is aware of it and prolly working on it now.

I capured my portrait within the game and I worked a little with paintshoppro8.
I think u can use also your picture you get from the eve site I guess.
