QUESTION: How do you guys pick targets?
ANSWER: Since 'The Great War Nerf' (which will now be referred to as the 'P-Nerf') ... We've had to consolidate our war decs. We choose LARGER corps/alliances that have the MAJORITY of thier holdings in EMPIRE. This is to keep the targets plentiful for members.
Members are ALWAYS on the look out for new targets AND at one time or another be able to actually pick who we dec!!
We have at times gone looking outside these parameters BUT in general, stick to them.
We will take on contracts for the cost of the war dec (see: BC Hastings)

QUESTION: Where do you guys normally hunt war targets?
ANSWER: Since we normally dec empire based war targets ... we find that roaming the main trade routes in empire keeps us in 'REDS' ... BUT don't think we're not on the 'less traveled' roads.
Basically we keep our targets' eyes on local when they are flying in empire

I would require more information.
To raise (each corp in the privateers alliance) 50 million isk each week for wars...what activities are run under wartime conditions to accrue the money for this war/alliance rent?
I research anything in life I may want to be a part of, so you may forgive my potentially intrusive questions.
I have been researching your corporation for some time now as I build my SP to be of worth for battle. I have put every member of the privateers alliance in my "buddy list" to keep track of activity.
There only ever seem to be 3-5 people on-line at any point in time from your entire alliance. Is this normal, or are you taking a break currently?
I have also noticed a series of large corporation departures from your alliance, in fact the entire alliance seems to be down to around 70-80 members. Is this due to faction wars?
Do you have seperate corporations (outside of privateers alliance) which take part in faction wars? I have an interest in this area as well.
Also, what is alliance/corp. policy regarding "smack talking" in local to various enemy?
I would be embarrassed to be involved with an organization which behaves in such a fashion.
Along those lines, what is accepted policy on viable targets aside from wardecs?
Meaning, do you advocate sitting outside jita and shooting new people as some form of "elite pvp" ?
Also, I have noticed you (privateers alliance) have brought on a series of newer players. I thought Privateers Alliance pilots strictly required T2 equipment. I ask this because not only will I research your organization, I also research your enemies. You seem to be losing to quite a few enemies and it is clear many of those losses are with "newer players" in badly fit T1 ships such as I currently fly.
What is war policy on these kinds of players (like myself) movement restrictions. Do you require they try to stay with a group until they can sustain solo pvp more often?
Looking at the killboards of the privateers alliance in comparison to several of your more common enemies, shows that you lose quite often, so I am sure your not concerned with a good kill to death ratio. What I want to know in particular, is how new players are counselled on losses whilst trying to provide (in part) the 50 million isk per week for alliance rent.
Is this rental fee accrued through missioning tax?
That sum seems large for me as a new player, but I would like an idea of what I would be doing to help raise that kind of money each week. Do you all have alt. characters that go mining/missioning?
I don't care one whit for mining, so as you know.
Also, what is policy regards infiltration of enemy corporations with alt. characters?
I have seen a number of allegations of some of your (privateers alliance)enemies to this very effect. I am sure this kind of tripe is pure saber rattling in the part of your enemies. I ask, as this is not something I would be party to. Lump this with an intolerance of shooting unaware non-combatants in jita, talking like a poorly raised child in local, infiltrating someones teamspeak/ventrilo and any other general meta-gaming I am not aware of at this point.
I have gone to great lengths...to shadow some of your pilots and have watched them in operation on a number of occasions. I wanted to gain a better understanding of your methodology of conflict. You seem to run away quite often and I am not clear on use of fast nano-ships. I will not be able to pilot them for some time. Is coaching offered to help new pilots more fully understand an ideal ship for quick harrassment/running away ships?. Do you assist new pilots with tailoring skill training to your, partilular method of warfare?
I ask as I feel it would allow me to aid privateers alliance in the quickest time possible. Currently I am training learning skills with the hope it pays off at a later date.

I have taken note that the recruitment drive is now closed at this very moment. I have not noticed any new players on-line, but they as yet may be going through the indoctrination process, so I quite understand.
I post this with the hope that I tendered my submittal before the "recruitment deadline". I will await the recruiters answers to my, eh query.
Although the recruitment drive to restock the privateers alliance is closed, I will do my part by keeping this thread to the top to make good players aware of their options, when said recruitment drive opens someday soon.
