 I am trying to design a Microsoft Access database to track all the ISK that comes into and flows out of my corporation as well as commodities and customers. Seeing as I have never used Access before this is fast becoming a huge messy headache. Does anyone know of a Database that will save my sanity....er that is already created and will fit my needs? Please HELP

I am currently working on one that will do that, and a whole lot more. it will be implemented through a web interface for all eve players an corps to use, but its taking time, mapping the entire eve database and correlations between objects is a bit of a pain in the ass for a solo person.

Thanks that looks like a verry powerfull program BUT its also verry large, requires a bunch of support programs and it wants my full access API key and I really dont like the idea of giving that out.

I can understand that - it's also open source and the API is not transmitted back in any way.
It's a very useful program - especially for report generation. Used in conjunction with EVE-MEEP I can pretty much track everything.

After having an interest in using EMMA (attempted to use Sexy wallet but too much prep work involved) I noticed that MEEP seems to offer the same things as EMMA. How are they different and are they better used separately or in conjunction with one another?

They are best used in conjuction - EVE-MEEP set up on the character level and EMMA used in the corporation level.
EMMA has the great ability for report generation - which is especially useful for looking at the macro level and analyzing overviews over time.
MEEP is good for the micromanagement - looking at specific days of transactions and dealing with the production end of things.
There is some overlap between the two, but used in conjunction they work marvelously.

All I've done is setup MS Money with the categories I want and I manage to track everything in and out. Very useful!!

Its a system we made. And yes its secure as in read only API as director.
Currently its used by 1 large testing corp and ourselves. The idea is to sell it as a service at a very small isk cost. We talk small numbers here, so dont worry. Even a 1 man corp can afford it.
Its apporaching release and will be moved to a fast server on a fast line. Basicly its fully automated, just make the product groups.
Only security risk is that 2 people in 1 corp could look on the same data.
We made the tool for ourselves. But since it can scale in users and corps to basicly infinite amounts at 0 effort. We dont see why others shouldnt be able. |
