Hi,
First something out of subject: can we please get a FW forum ? please...
Ok, now to the topic.
I am curious as to what people like to put on a ship:
 general fitting style: 1.gank? 2.tank? 3.support/ew? 4.a combination?
When you fit the ship, do you:
talk in advance with your gang mates and plan setups?
scout the enemy or use the killboards to fit against what they fly?
The reason I made the post is because I am under the impression that people fit to gank without thinking their setups: What is my mate flying to the battle? and What is my enemy flying to the battle?.
Is this how it is or am I wrong?
(Yes I know there are specialized PVP corps out there and they wreak havoc. But in general, for most pilots in EVE?)
In case this is how it is? why?
(please do not troll, please to not talk nano, please if you are in CSM or know someone lobby for a FW forum)

When i join a fleet, i always ask what the fleet needs, the skills needed to uyse remote reppers/tackle or whatever are not uber so easy to just fly an exqueror or fast frig if needed rather than just always flying a rupture or something.

nano = less gank, it fits in tank category. They gank by having enough pilots/ships (dps), but nano is in the tank category.
I guess trying to stay away from the "nano nano na no" is hard...

It must suck being so bitter about a video game... 
As to the OP's question, my alliance mates and I have had chat after chat after chat about how to counter the most popular ships that come into the space we live in - those ships tend to be nanos and command ships with skirmish warfare links.
By this point, we all know what we have to do, so I've got my ships fitted for the roles I'd need to play in those situations... my nano-Stiletto has webs on it, my 'phoon has neuts on it, etc. I rely on everyone else to have a correctly-fitted ship on hand (when you make 20m an hour just from ratting, before loot/salvage, it's not hard to have a spare ship or two on hand and fully fitted - if you can't, you fail at EVE).
