Anyone tried a setup with this new ship? Description shows it should be fast (at least for a Caldari ship). Anyone validate this?

I just "bought" one from the LP shop yesterday, and tried it in a lvl 2 mission ... 768 m/s with a T2 10 MN Afterburner is fast for a caldari ship, and I get a range of roughly 118 kms with Heavy Missiles on it ... waaayyy past the 65 kms locking range that I have on it.
Kitting works nicely, at least for me, and in PvE ... I don't do any PvP, so I don't know what could work in that arena.
Oh, and those values factor in my skills, of course, so you may have different results. <~ sig starts here

As I said, I tried it in a level 2 mission ... you know, those deadspace thingies where MWDs don't work ... still, 750+ m/s with an AB isn't bad. <~ sig starts here

Well, I was talking to Richard Soren as well ;)
But still, the Navy Osprey strikes me more as a PvP ship then a mission ship. But I guess it can do missions well :)

Probably a good PvP ship, yes, fast and agile, with a good damage potential ... but since I'm resolute carebear, someone else will have to try that <~ sig starts here

Setting it up with Assault missle launcher II's using precision lights and some explosion velocity rigs makes for a very useful anti-nano platform. DPS is only around the 130ish mark with good skills, but it is able to hit anything going up to 6,000 m/s pretty reliably and it is still able to maintain a respectable speed in spite of the missile penalty.
Of course, same thing goes for a Caracal and Cerb, sans the speed.
Might be better off just using a Caracal. --

highs: hams meds: ss mwd, small cap booster, db webber, lse2, scram lows: ods and 1 bcu
rigs: 3 x polys
watch that thing goooo ;] and ss mwd and db webs aren't really extremely expensive but provide you with better survivability.
that ship with my skills and lg snakes goes over 6.5k/s well over 7 if all OD in lows. and aligns to warp alost instantly
basically... one hell of a boat (very ugly but who cares)

Basically I just don't see the point of the ship with nano ships are not suitable for mission running. F For PvP they're comparable to the T2 nano boats but it comes with a huge price tag. The ship alone costs as much as a HAC, problem is that you then need to triple rig it which puts you at a huge isk loss, should you get blwon up. Even with just thruster rigs it's still quite expensive to loose.
If you've got more isk than what you care for and want to fly a caldari nano-boat, have fun. For anyone else I'd suggest getting another ship, if you're a missile fan then get a Sacri.
