Never had a problem before, and haven't had any problems in any other game I've played on this computer.
I spontaneously get a BSOD when playing (happened twice in space), and when I logged on it said something about the patch it was installing and that it was for some kind of fix for memory.
I have: e8400 3Ghz 2x1GB Patriot DDR3-1333 timings: 7-6-7-19 (tried going back to spec 7-7-7-20) WinXP 32bit 8800GTS 512MB G92 790i Ultra
anyone else getting BSOD since the update or familiar with error codes? BCCode : 1000007f BCP1 : 0000000D BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : 00000000 BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 3_0 Product : 768_1

The patch today was supposed to fix the BSOD caused by the memory bug. but alas it has not done so for me.
Eve is causing my computer to completely lockup/freeze with occasional BSOD's in which it dumps the cache and reboots.
I would enjoy a fix on this issue because it is quickly making the game unplayable cause its causing me to lose ships and equipment.

I personally turn off eve audio, this stopped all bsods on myself, I run 2 clients on 2 19" monitors both without sound and personally have not bsod for 7+ months
I used to bsod regularly till I did this, when I was a new char I was doing this alot in missions especially

I get the same. My PC (running vista) crashes about 30 seconds after launching eve. All other games/apps working fine.
Very annoying!

I've had the same issue since about 2 days now (Suddenly the screens go black and everything stops until I hit reboot). And I'm unable to get any kind of error message (I might just not now how to, realy, enlighen me?)
It happens more often if I run 2 accounts at the same time (but still happens even if I just run the one).
It happens regardless if I'm in space, in a blob of ships or docked at a station.
It doesn't changes with or withouth the optional patch or any settings suggested there. I've also always had the sound turned off so that makes little difference for me.
So far it has made me incredibly annoyed but also made me clean up the computer software wise just to be safe (some good comes out of every bad )!
Specs in short: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHz 1536MB RAM DDR NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB WinXP 32bit ms-7125 They say space is endless. |
