So periodically I run to Amarr (the system), usually to the Family Academy, to pick up stuff on the cheap or to offload implants from L3 storyline mishes or whatever.
And almost every single time I go there, there's a few PCs, all with low security standings, firing at each other. Maybe half a dozen at most, ever. (And no, they're not the same station).
First time I thought, well, maybe they're all friends and they fleeted up so they can run a tank test or something. But just now I saw a chick in an Abaddon get blown up, so I really doubt that's the case. It's not FW, since only one of em was in a FW corp (the one that got blown up). If they were camping for haulers (which I thought at first when I saw a BS parked right by the station exit), they'd be getting fired on by CONCORD, and they aren't.
So seriously, what the***** is that crap.

Just odd. I mean I usually troll the same half a dozen systems or so I see fighting nowhere else except around that one station.

Why do you go to that station? I bet it's because the market there is the best, right?
Well, when people wardec other people, they tend to hang around the places their targets will be. In this case, they're most likely to be in that station because the market in that station is the best.

Same thing happens in most hubs. Check out Oursulaert III Fed Navy some time, there's somebody having a dustup outside of it more often than not.
Nothing sinister about it, it's really nothing more than the law of averages at work: when most people go to one system sooner or later to buy gear, the odds are just really good that at least one of them will run into a war target there on any given day. ___________________________________________

After idling considerable amounts of time in Amarr I can confirm that there's at least one can-flagging based fightfest going on, with its own ingame channel. Never taken part, so don't know any details / if it's good fights / if it's just baiting people / whatever.

As stated by others
Probably war decs and/or can flagging.
Can Flagging is used in Eve as a Dueling tool (never used it that way myself, but I know its done).
Play nice while you butcher each other.

Amarr is a tradehub, whenever we go for our wardecced enemies its generally a good place to find them. We come for our people |
